4th shots sheet A, S, M modes + ISO A) Aperture priority mode (You choose Aperture; camera chooses Shutter speed.) Project: Have a person pose for a headshot with you about 2 meters away from them Have some sort of background quite a bit behind them; trees, houses etc. Focus on a person’s face Usually closest eye) using a DSLR and a 50mm 1.8 lens. Shoot The same portrait 5x using a variety of Fstops. (f16, f8, f4, f2.8 and f1.8) In the blanks below, explain how each shot differs from each other. Equipment: DSLR with 50mm 1.8 lens. F-stop check Your observations f16 f8 f4 f2.8 f1.8 B) Shutter priority mode. (You choose the Shutter speed; camera choose Aperture) Project: Have a person run past your stationary camera. The person should take up most of your frame. Take 5 pictures, using the shutter speeds below. If you begin to Over-expose the picture with a small shutter speed, try inside. In the blanks below, explain how each shot differs from each other. Remember to brace your camera for the slower shutter speeds. Equipment: DSLR with zoom lens or 50mm 1.8. shutter speed 1/320 1/160 1/80 1/40 1/20 check Your observations C) Slow shutter speed. (Set your shutter speed to 1/20 s). Project: Use your body to “pan” things that move. Your last shot will have YOU holding the camera still and the item moving. The goal is to have each shot properly exposed. You will have to watch the exposure meter and make different combinations of shutter speed and aperture to shutter speed aperture checkmark exposure good E) Control ISO: Take 1 picture 4x on P (program mode where Aperture and Shutter speed are both chosen by the camera) Your only variable will be ISO (sensitivity of sensor) Change your ISO and watch what happens to shutter speed and aperture.(your observations!)
