Long Range Wireless Coverage, Increase the Strength of Wi-Fi Devices up to 700% The high-grade, heavy duty, HAO17SDP Hi-Gain Wireless 17dBi Antenna extends the coverage to your existing wireless 2.4GHz 802.11b/g/n devices. Most Wi-Fi devices are built with 2dBi antenna gain, the HAO17SDP increases the standard antenna strength from 2dBi to a staggering 17dBi, resulting in a 700% increase in wireless strength and coverage. MIMO & Dual-Polarization The HAO17SDP uses smart antenna technology called MIMO (multiple-input and multiple-output), to improve wireless communication performance between your devices. In addition, Dual-Polarization improves wireless coverage both horizontally and vertically. As a result, the HAO17SDP provides an unsurpassable wireless coverage for your wireless network. Having MIMO and Dual-Polarization, the HAO17SDP is ideal component for high speed and high bandwidth networks with data intensive applications such as streaming media, VoIP, gaming, etc. Directional Antenna for Long Range Point-to-Point Wi-Fi applications The Directional Antenna concentrates the signal in one direction for stronger signal and better long range wireless connections. The Directional Antenna is also great for long range Point-to-Point wireless applications as in the diagram to the right. For extended wireless coverage, pair the Directional Antennas, one on each end, to maximize your distance ( as illustrated in the image to the right, from location A to B).

Plug-and-Play Installation Installation of the HAO17SDP is simple and straight forward. It is compatible with most wireless devices (Access Points, Routers, Bridges and Network Adapters) on the market with removable external antennas. The Hawking Antenna comes equipped with N-Type to SMA connectors to support a wide range of wireless devices. For those devices that use adapters not included in the packaging, please visit the Hawking Technologies website (www.hawkingtech.com) for a selection of specific connectors for your device.

C. Remove the antenna from your wireless device and affix the small gold end to the antenna port connector
B. Connect your Antenna Adapter Cable to the end of your low-loss cable

Once you have mounted and connected your Hi-GainTM Outdoor 17dBi Directional Antenna, be sure to note the signal pattern of the antenna. As indicated by the diagram above, the directional antenna concentrates and roadcasts the signal in one direction. Make sure your devices are within the signal pattern shown above to experience superior range and quality with your HAO17SDP. Adjust the antenna as needed. (NOTE: Your wireless coverage may vary depending on the receiving power of your wireless adapter. This antenna only boosts the transmitting power of your device, not the receiving power.)
NOTE: The HAO17SDP antenna will work best with devices that have two upgradeable antennas. However, if your device only has one upgradeable antenna, you can use just one of the ports on the HAO17SDP
