i. Microsoft Windows 10 Home – 64-bit OEM ii. Price: $99.99 3. Total Price: $695.76 4. Comparison i. When comparing these two desktops, I have found that it is more cost effective to buy the built desktop rather than the in store desktop. There is an obvious increase in graphics capability and RAM in the built desktop computer, but paying for the operating system separate is very expensive. The built desktop would be significantly faster than the other desktop. I would be able to have a mediocre computer and still have some money left over if I went with the in store desktop, but I do not think that outweighs the benefits of the built desktop. So, I would purchase the built desktop. C. Laptop: HP ENVY Quad Edition Laptop (15.6”) 1. 3. Computer i. Total price: $634.94 ii. No warranty 4. Software i. Google Docs, Google Drive ii. Free E. The Comparison 1. Desktop 1 vs. Desktop 2 i. When comparing these two desktops, I have found that it is more cost effective to buy the built desktop rather than the in store desktop. The built desktop and in store desktop have the same operating system: Windows 10 64-bit. 2. Laptop vs. Tablet i. When comparing the tablet and laptop, I have found that the laptop would be a much better option to choose. The laptop has 1TB of hard drive space compared to the measly 64GB that the tablet has. The laptop’s display is bigger than the tablet, but the laptop is not too big to manage. The laptop
has more RAM than the tablet, 8GB vs 3GB. The laptop would be somewhat faster than the tablet. The only thing that the tablet has that is comparable to the laptop is its graphics, but the laptop is still better. The tablet cannot run Microsoft Office so it does not have the same software as the laptop, but the tablet does have Google Docs. I would definitely purchase the laptop over the tablet even though it is $55.04 more than the tablet.
