MFJ-5082 Pre-wired 8-Pin microphone cable terminated with 8-pin microphone connector at one end, and unterminated (i.e. stripped and tinned leads) at the other end.
Finished project in black metal project box.
White wires run to new input jacks mounted on the side of the case/cover. Red wires run to Omni VII. Yellow Wires run to TS-590s.

First version was accomplished using the original switch box, with inputs on the side, and outputs on the back. This worked swell and cost practically nothing, but the side mounted inputs make it difficult to fit into the shack - the plugs and cables consumed excessive room on the desk, so I decided to rebuild it into a different project case, with inputs and outputs all on the back. Final version was accomplished with a Ten-Tec No. TPB-43 (Black) aluminum project case, OD: 6.000 W x 2.500 H x 5.000. The complete project from the first version was transferred to the new Ten-Tec project cast, and the project was enhanced by adding phono jacks for the amplifier key lines, so now the switch alternates the key lines from two rigs to one linear amplifier. This switch enables the operator to instantly switch 1 microphone 1 headphone 1 PTT button or key 1 linear amp between two radios, saving desk space, and simplifying station layout.
