Micro Series M C 1 Compact Loudspeaker Two way, bass-reflex 1 x 6.5" ventilated driver (w/37 mm voice coil) 1 x tweeter Features Very compact size Total flexibility F.O.H / monitor Sound clarity & high precision reproduction Applications Small F.O.H, TV stage monitor Additional delay speaker for large system Distributed Sound Specifications 100 W AES 96 dB SPL @ 1W/1m 8 Ohm 70° H x 70° V 15.7" x 10.2" x 10.2" (400 x 260 x 260 mm) 2 Thermal Protections Mono-amplification mode Optional Processor Optional Subwoofer The APG MC1 speaker is a full range two-way compact loudspeaker. The low/mid section is created by a 6.5" PHL Audio speaker with one annular compression tweeter for the high section. Like the other Micro Series Loudspeaker, the MC1 is characterized by its small dimension and its exceptional size/power ratio. The enclosure features a 45° slant panel for stage monitor application and the fittings comprise a recessed hand hold, a 36 mm pole mount socket and threaded inserts to install a lyre bracket (option ETMC2). The T50 & T100 options include 50W or 100W additional transformers allowing installation with 70V-100V line Dedicated processor is available to operate the MC1 in full range mode or combined with subwoofers when low frequency reinforcement is required. APG recommends the following subwoofers with MC1 speaker: SUB138P/PS or TB115S. MC1 shown in FOH and stage monitor settings The MC1 offers total flexibility between stage monitor and F.O.H applications, with or without subwoofers. This speaker stands out by its extreme reliability and vocal performance. The MC1 is recommended for small to medium size areas and as delayed complements in large P.A. systems. Its compactness and sound clarity make it the perfect loudspeaker for applications where unobtrusiveness and high quality sound reproduction are required. The MC1 can be installed in many ways, wall or ceiling-mounted with its steel bracket, directly on a pole or simply put on a shelf. The MC1 can be fitted with an optional 70V-100V transformer when a large number of loudspeakers is required. When used in full range mode, the MC1 is dedicated to vocal applications such as conferences or congress in radio studio and TV stage the MC1 has become a must. Combined to APG subwoofers, the MC1 allows to setup very discreet FOH systems perfect for clubs, bars, or multimedia rooms. The SPMICRO static processor provides system alignment, cross-over, infrasonic and ultrasonic protection and distribution of signals; being optional it becomes compulsory for music application when the use of subwoofer is required. With this information, the precise amount of energy reproduced by each transducer can be worked out as well as the frequency bands within which they operate. (1) Power shaping optimizes system linearity and increases power handling in the given frequency range. Sensitivity measures 103 dB before power shaping and 97 dB afterwards. (2) Dispersion is controlled from 800 Hz. The angles given are irrelevant below this frequency. (3) In order to take full benefit of the dynamic performance, sonic quality and reliability of the speakers, the recommended amplification must at least correspond to the AES rating. Lesser amplification is acceptable for applications requiring less power (near-field, distributed systems,...), whilst not being less than half the AES rating. The AES power handling corresponds to a 2 hour test using weighted pink noise (peak factor of 6dB) through a frequency range of one decade. (4) The SPEAKON are wired hot pin 1+, cold pin 1-. (5) ETMC1 is a 4 mm steel bracket allowing installation of speakers on either wall or ceiling with angle adjustment. (6) Stainless steel screws and waterproofing of speaker cones. (7) Tropicalisation includes fiber-glass reinforced polyester coating of the cabinet, stainless steel screws and waterproofing of speaker cones. (8) Paint preparation for the requested color. “A five years warranty covers passive filters, transducers and compression drivers. The warranty does not cover cosmetic damages and damages due to misuse, improper installation, or damages caused by alterations.
