This Palit graphics card is as fast as a jet!
Graphics card manufacturer Palit Microsystems Ltd., recently launched a series of graphics cards that are equipped with custom cooling solutions, as well as factory overclocked settings. This series is known as the Jetstream series, and the first card in this series is none other than the Palit GeForce GTX 680 Jetstream. The Palit GeForce GTX 680 features a custom cooling solution that consists of a triple fan design. There are two 80mm fans, and a single 90mm fan placed specifically to draw heat away from the GPU and PCB. All three fans are TurboFan Blades, which are supposedly designed to efficiently generate powerful air stream and air pressure. With this custom cooling solution, this card is said to be nine decibels quieter and eight degrees Celsius cooler
P9949 is definitely one of the highest scores we’ve seen thus far
than the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 reference card. Apart from that, other notable features of the Palit GeForce GTX 680 Jetstream include the integration of DrMOS, which is a suite of optimized multi-chip power stage modules designed to offer high current circuitry, low noise operation and low heat generation. Combined with a unique 6-Phase PWM design that ensures stable voltage supply, there’s no worries about short circuiting with this card. Without the need to say so, this card sports some rather powerful specifications out-of-thebox. For starters, its base clock has been factory overclocked to 1084MHz while its boost clock is set to 1150MHz, which is a 92MHz increase over stock boost clock speeds. Apart from that, its 2GB GDDR5 memory clock has
also been factory overclocked to 6300MHz, which is an increase of 292MHz from the standard memory clock speed. Translated into performance, the Palit GeForce GTX 680 Jetstream is a monster that breezes through synthetic benchmarks and offer unparalleled singleGPU performance in real-world performance. In 3DMark11, the Palit GeForce GTX 680 managed a score of P9949. In 3DMark Vantage, it scored P24,964, while finally in Unigine’s Heaven benchmark, set at 1920x1080, 8x AA, and Extreme tessellation, the card was able to run the test at an average of 36 frames per second, with a score of 907. Impressive indeed! In terms of real world performance, the Palit GeForce GTX 680 Jetstream is able to render DiRT3 with maxed out settings and 32x CSAA at an average of 137 frames per second. In Batman: Arkham City, set at 8x AA and maxed out graphics settings, the Palit GeForce GTX 680 Jetstream ran the game at an amazing average of 63 frames per second. Also worth nothing, is that this card comes with a host of exciting new technologies that’s changing the way games are played on the PC today. These include NVIDIA’s GPU Boost, NVIDIA’s new FXAA technology and Adaptive V-Sync. Overall, the Palit GeForce GTX 680 offers even more performance over a reference GTX 680, and this is definitely worth applauding. If you’re aiming to create a high-end gaming rig or powerful digital graphics design computer, don’t forget to put this card on your shopping list.
verdict scores are out of 10.
