iPoll PTMP protocol
One of the most effective wireless transmission protocols in the market!
Decreased latency
No distance limitation
Scalable system with support for multiple clients
Ideal for real time data applications
Proprietary iPoll™ wireless protocol improves the wireless medium utilization against the standard DCF (Distributed Coordination Function) method. It eliminates mediated yp g every y subscriber sequentially. q y The data access by polling transmission arbitration is accomplished by the access point. The AP sends a data and a poll frame to a station and receives data from the polled station before starting to poll other stations. Each station starts sending data once a poll frame is received. Proprietary iPoll™ protocol allows to obtain maximum bandwidth with the lowest possible latency. Without and with iPoll

An example below. shows real-time (video) data transmission to two different clients. The upper client is using proprietary iPoll iPoll™ point to multi point protocol which is extremely efficient for the applications requiring low latency, better PPS (packet per second rate) and higher capacity per subscriber.

Taken in whole numbers, the numbers are quite easy to grade: 5 - Perfect. Like face-to-face conversation or radio reception. p 4 - Fair. Imperfections can be perceived, but sound still clear. This is (supposedly) the range for cell phones. 3 - Annoying. 2 - Very annoying. Nearly impossible to communicate. 1 - Impossible p to communicate

In voice and video communication, quality usually dictates whether the experience is a good or bad one. Besides the qualitative description we hear, like quite good' or 'very bad', there is a numerical method of expressing voice and video quality. It is called Mean Opinion Score (MOS). MOS gives a numerical indication of the perceived quality of the media received after being transmitted and eventually compressed using codecs.

Smart auto-channel
Automatic transmit power control and DFS 3 is supported on all Deliberant APC series equipment with a firmware v5.76 and above.
Smart auto-channel Smart auto-channel detection system makes Deliberant APC series equipment extremely noise immune. The base station changes the whole network operating frequency during the startup, after radar detection or every 5 minutes if the are no stations connected to the access point at the time of p pre-scan. Service p providers can specify the channel hopping list for their base station operation to use only specific channels available in the area. Smart auto channel will also sense the radar signals and shift the frequencies accordingly and this feature is also compliant with ETSI EN 301 893 V 1.5.1 standard specifications.

Smart auto-channel automatically selects the less occupied channel for operation during the startup of base station.
Spectrum analyzer A spectrum analyzer is a device used to examine the spectral composition of some electrical, acoustic, or optical waveform. It may also measure the power p spectrum. Nowadays, as the unlicensed band is becoming really crowded it is essential to scan the spectrum before d l i deploying any wireless i l equipment to make sure you will be getting the best performance.
Normally spectrum analyzer is a very expensive device and Deliberant has integrated similar functionality for FREE in the APC product line.
© Deliberant.com, 2011
It is a real-time spectrum scanning tool, which provides a graphical signal representation and displays maximum, average and current signal (noise) level.
