EAUP 2412A 16RJ UTP Video Data Power Transceiver and EAUP 16RJ UTP Transceiver Instruction Sheet Thank you for purchasing i³DVR UTP Transceiver. UTP Transceiver device allows transmitting the video signal, power and control signal via the same UTP cable. Depending on your selection, you have received either a EAUP 2412A 16RJ UTP (Rackmount model) or a EAUP 16RJ UTP (Wallmount model). Please note that the Rackmount UTP Transceiver model comes with a camera power supply, while Wallmount model does not include power supply and will not supply power to the cameras.
IMPORTANT: Installation must be completed by a qualified technician only and must comply with all local building, wiring and other safety codes. When purchasing own camera power supply, ensure it meets the requirements outlined below. Connect own camera power supply to the power terminals labeled AC 24V Input on the back panel of UTP transceiver unit to transmit power to the cameras via UTP cables.

Connect to the RS485 ports on the DVMS Connect DB25 male video cable (included). I/O card in order to control PTZ Cameras# Connect the other end to DB25 video input on DVMS. 13-16 9-12 5-8 1-4
Make sure to meet the unit installation/environment requirements and not to exceed maximum recommended cable run length. Follow Diagram 1 to locate video output and PTZ data terminals to be connected to the DVMS.
Connect UTP cables from Cameras # 1-8 9-16 (Follow the RJ45 pinout diagram below) Use AUX Power Ouputs if the camera’s current exceeds 800mA or if power cable length exceeds 200 ft. (61 m)
Transceiver Pinout Diagram Below is the pinout for the RJ45 ports in the Transceiver box. The 16 cameras connect to these individual ports. For input order, follow the camera numbers as labeled on the transceiver or see the diagram above.
Connect the power connectors from UTP cameras to one of the two AUX Power Outputs if power cable run exceeds 200 ft. (61 m) or if the camera’s current exceeds 800 mA. In those cases, do not connect power connectors from UTP cable to the RJ45 port. Max. load for each AUX Power Output terminal: 3A

Warning: Be sure to match the power polarity as described in the pinout diagram. Incorrect wiring may damage the camera and/or the transceiver/power supply assembly.
Unit Environment Please install the unit in a clean dust-free environment that meets these conditions: Ambient Operational Temperature: 5° - 40°C Humidity: 0 - 95% (non-condensing)
i³ International Inc. 780 Birchmount Road, units 14-16 Scarborough, ON, M1K5H4
Follow the maximum allowed lengths for video, data and power as shown below: Video: 600 ft. (183 m) Power (via UTP connectors): 200 ft. (61 m) PTZ Control: 600 ft. (183 m) Do not exceed the recommended cable lengths. Max. load of 6A is shared by RJ45 outputs #1-8 and AUX Power Output #1 Max. load of 6A is shared by RJ45 outputs #9-16 and AUX Power Output #2
Power Supply Specifications for EAUP 16RJ UTP A power supply for Wallmount UTP Transceiver model must meet the following minimum specifications: Power Input: 110-120 VAC / 220-240 VAC, 60/50 Hz Power Output: 24 VAC (min 6A per 8 camera inputs)
