WOOFER L8S800 Professional Low Frequency Transducer Very high linearity and low distortion are special features of this carbon-fibre cone transducer. The use of an RCF exponential carbon fibre cone of exceptional strength and light weight drastically reduces the break-up, thus ensuring a high level of efficiency and excellent transient response. The cone is completely water-repellent. Maximum care in the selection of the components and in the assembly process make the L8S800 an extremely reliable woofer. PART NUMBER 11120007 Features Applications 1.5-inch, Kapton former, copper voice coil 340 Watt continuous program power handling 93 dB Sensitivity The L8S800 is the ideal woofer for very compact, full range, bass reflex systems where a good balance between mid-bass linearity and low frequency extension is required. The light mass and mid-range extension is perfect for coupling to a small size driver or tweeter. 50 Hz - 4 kHz Frequency range Exponential, high strength, carbon fibre cone M-roll damped surround 50 20 62 4000 100 1.000 10.000 20.000 General Specifications Nominal Diameter Rated Impedance Program Power 1 Power handling capacity 2 Sensitivity 3 Frequency Range Effective Piston Diameter Max Excursion Before Damage (peak to peak) Minimum Impedance Voice Coil Diameter Voice Coil Material Voice Coil Winding Depth Number of layers Kind of layer Top Plate Thickness Cone Material Cone Design Surround Material Surround Design ø 208 mm 9 mm 200/8 8 340 170 93 50 - 4000 165/6.5 30/1.2 7.3 38/1.5 Copper 15/0.6 2 outside 7/0.3 Carbon fiber Curved Polycotton M - roll mm/inch ohm Watts Watts dB 60 6.1 4.1 0.46 0.41 10.3 21 22 0.021 5.8 0.9 1.00 Hz ohm 239/9.4 221 6.4/0.3 184/7.24 184/7.24 94/3.7 0.8 mm/inch mm/inch mm/inch mm/inch mm/inch mm/inch liters/ft3 3.1/6.8 3.3/7.3 Kg/Lbs Kg/Lbs mm/inch mm/inch ohm mm/inch mm/inch 90 mm Thiele - Small Parameters 4 Resonance frequency DC resistance Mechanical factor Electrical factor Total factor BL Factor Effective Moving Mass Equivalent Cas air load Effettive piston area Max. linear excursion (mathematical) 5 Voice - coil inductance @ 1KHz Half-space efficiency ø 134 mm ø 183 mm 110 SPL, 1w/1m (dB) 100 90 80 20 100 1.000 10.000 20.000 Frequency (Hz) Frequency response curve of the loudspeaker taken in a hemispherical, free field environment and mounted in a closed box with an internal volume of 600 litres (21,2 cu.ft) enclosing the rear of the driver.
