HDMI Fiber Receiver: HRX-F001 Description The HRX-F001 is an HDMI™ over Fiber Receiver interface providing a single HDMI output for a single display device. Its design allows the HRX-F001 to be installed behind a flat panel display or above a ceiling mounted projector. It connects to a VOM-F004 using a single OM3 multimode fiber strand with an SC Type connector. The HRX-F001 is ideal for use at any remote location in a residence, boardroom, classroom or video walls, providing an HDMI output for an HD Display, projector or similar device. A single HDMI digital AV output port is provided with the HRX-F001, supporting 1080p60 HDTV and WUXGA computer signals with HDCP, Deep Color, 3D, and multi-channel HD lossless audio. The HDMI output can also handle DVI signals using an appropriate adapter or interface cable. A single fiber strand connects the HRX-F001 to any Savant SmartMediaPro modular matrix switcher and controller configured with an HDMI over Fiber Output service module (VOM-F004, sold separately), transporting video and audio signals all through one simple SC type optical connection. Multiple HRX-F001 receivers may be installed to handle multiple displays in a multi-room distribution system, all fed from a central SmartMediaPro series platform. The HRX-F001 LED indicators are provided for easy setup and troubleshooting, verifying the status of connections and signal activity at a glance.

Savant recommends that at minimum two fiber strands are run and available for redundancy and expansion. The HRX-F001 paired with the VOM-F004 module enables wiring distances up to 1000 feet (300m) using OM3 multi-mode fiber. See the technical specifications for the VOM-F004. HRX-F001 extends HDMI features at 1080p60 full HD with Deep Color, multichannel audio, and other optional HDMI features including 3D. HRX-F001 includes a locking HDMI connector for added reliability.
