Savant Circa Keypad Description The Savant Circa Keypad offers a bold look, as well as the added bonus of easy installation and programming. As with all Savant keypads, the Circa is available in a wide variety of customization options. Standard faceplate finishes include almond, black and white in plastic material. Premium faceplate finishes include polished chrome, satin nickel, oil bronze-dark, and prime coat in metal material. Custom engraved buttons are available in backlit and non-backlit options with 1-2 lines of six characters. This keypad supports multiple languages and is compatible with icon engraving (custom symbols). Savant Keypads include a built-in LED Color wheel allowing for the selection of one of thirteen available LED colors—default is Iceberg Blue. LED intensity levels, of backlit engraving, are adjusted from the LED Level wheel. A back-box cover allows for the protection of electronic components from dust and damage that can occur during installation in the midst of construction.

Savant Keypad Link Wiring Design Considerations To connect the keypads to the SKL-1000 or SKL-4000, the wires from the 3-pin connectors must be spliced with the 3-wire cable running to the keypad backboxes. The next figure shows the use of 16 gauge (AWG) wire, but in shorter installations (up to 330 feet) 18 gauge wire can be used. Crimp connectors or wire nuts can be used to terminate the stranded wire. Crimp connectors are preferred. Savant Keypad Link wire

Keypad Backbox
Keypad backboxes should have a minimum inside dimension of 3 in. high x 1⅞ in. wide x 1½ in deep. Use a square-cornered backbox to best accommodate these dimensions. Do not use plastic rings with Keypadrounded Backboxcorners—keypads, especially Keypad multiple-gang Backbox keypads, will not fit. Single-gang, metal cut-in boxes, plaster, or tile rings are not acceptable. In new construction installations, for example, a single gang backbox, model P-241 (supplied by Allied Moulded Products) would accommodate a Savant keypad. An example of a double gang backbox is model P-442 (supplied by Allied Moulded Products). Whether installing backboxes in new construction or “old work” installations, the installer should test fit the keypad to the backbox before installing the backbox in a wall.

Savant Circa Keypad Keypad Button Icon Options The Circa keypad is designed to use custom engraved buttons—with 1-2 lines of six characters. As well, all buttons are backlit which can be adjusted. The Circa keypad is compatible with multiple languages and icon engraving (custom symbols). You can select from more than 150 icons in the LiteWare®, design and programming software.The following shows some examples of customized buttons.
Thirteen Field-Changeable LED Colors Savant Keypads include a built-in LED Color wheel allowing for the selection of one of thirteen available LED colors— default is Iceberg Blue (Release LiteWare 5.2.2 or later). LED intensity levels of backlit engraving are adjusted from the LED Level wheel.
