0.65m Ku-Band Manpack Terminal
Overview The 0.65m Ku-Band manpack terminal from Advantech Wireless is a robust terminal for Military Applications. It comprises a carbon-fiber parabolic reflector of 6 or 8 petals, a feed system consisting of matched feed and OMT. The Ku-Band manpack terminal transmits Linear Polarization (Horizontal or Vertical) signals in the 13.75 – 14.5 GHz band and receives Linear Polarization (Vertical or Horizontal) signals in the 10.95 -12.75 GHz band. The diameter of the reflector is 0.65 meters. The 0.65m Ku-Band manpack terminal from Advantech Wireless complies with standards as specified in MIL-STD-810F. The terminal can be easily assembled and disassembled by one trained person. Assembly/Disassembly takes no more than 5 minutes. The Advantech Wireless Manpack is a motorized dish with auto-acquisition of the target satellite. General Specifications Frequency Band of Operation Tx Frequency Range: Rx Frequency Range: Receive Traffic Transmit Traffic
Ku-Band 13.75 – 14.50 GHz 10.95 – 12.75 GHz (user selectable sub-bands) complies to DVB-S2 standards for QPSK, 8PSK and 16APSK. complies to DVB-RCS standards for TDMA access and DVB-S2 for SCPC access.
Antenna Diameter:
0.65 m 17 kg This excludes the actual carrying case/rucksack and does not include the batteries, charger, solar Weight panels and interconnecting cables. The terminal can be easily transported by one person. All the ancillary components, can be easily transported by another person, using prefabricated backpacks. Battery Life
Uniformly painted as per American standard FED-STD-595C, or to customer specs Designed in such a way that repeated assembly and disassembly procedures do not degrade the electro/mechanical characteristics The terminal and its accessories are packed to safely and reliably be shipped by air, sea or land. Special optional packaging is available for shipment by air-drop. Motorized - Satellite auto-acquisition Operates in a star configuration, inter-operating with a centrally located Hub station Supports encryption; AES-256 as a minimum The terminal is manually-pointed, assisted by a compass, clinometer, GPS and signal strength indicators Operate from the following power sources: a. External Battery b. Solar Panel c. Commercial AC power (110/220 VAC) d. DC Power Supply (12/24 VDC) When operating from the supplied battery, the terminal remains fully operational for a period of at least 90 minutes. Note that the operating temperature for the batteries is from -20°C to +60°C. When operating in receive-only mode (not transmitting), the terminal is able to stay on-satellite for at least 360 minutes.
Note: Auxiliary power sources (solar, AC, DC) can charge the battery simultaneously to battery operation.
