AAC AAC is a codec used to improve the sonic performance of tracks played from iTune. It is a proven tool that improves the sound presentation of compressed audio played from iTune such as m4a, m4b, etc. AAC will also improve the sound from YouTube when sourced from a compatible AAC equipped mobile device. AAC encoding is available on most of the leading smartphone models from iPhone, Android, Windows and Blackberry.
