Delete registration database (on BEC240 AUTOMATA computer) and run BEC setup for registration. 1 Generating a new registration database. This description is made for deleting the registration database on an AUTOMATA BEC240 computer. This can be necessary if for example the database has been damaged, or if the computer has been powered up without the SERCOS board. The description assumes that the application software is already installed on the computer. 1.1 Delete registration database. Attach a keyboard to the computer. Power up the computer. If launcher starts, press ‘B’ and ‘C’ button to stop launcher. Double click on “My Computer” Double click on “Hard disk” Press “View” in the top menu bar. Press “Options” Deselect “Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)” Press “OK” Select “WCEREG” Press the “Delete” key on the keyboard. Press “Yes” in the “Confirm Delete” messages box. Select “WCEREG.OLD” if shown on the screen. Press the “Delete” key on the keyboard. Press “Yes” in the “Confirm Delete” messages box. Power off the computer. 1.2 Start the bec setup program. Power on the computer. (The touch screen can be out of adjustment now) Double click on “My Computer” Double click on “Hard disk” Double click on “Tools” Double click on “BECSetup.exe” Now setup program menu will be shown automatically. Read on BEC label on back side of the computer. If the computer has a stock no. “20102818-001” and SN. “102818-0005”, the correct computer name to enter is “102818001SN0005”. Press “Run Calibrate touch” and perform a calibration of the touch screen Press “Write to Registry” Press “Save registry to disk” Press “Hot reboot”, and the computer will reboot. 1.4 Registration of the computer. After rebooting the computer, it has to be registered. A messages box is shown on the screen where the following items have to be entered: Computer serial. Company name. Serial (password). 1.4.1 Computer serial. Should already be filled in correctly with the name of the computer. 1.4.2 Company name. Company name must be “Matteuzzi”. 1.4.3 Serial (password). The serial (password) must be requested from BEC. Give BEC the Computer serial, Company name and Software number, and BEC will supply a serial (password). BEC home page can be used for this purpose. Enter the serial password in the box and press “Activate”. The “No application present……” messages will be shown, but just press “Ok”. Now the computer is ready to install the application software.
