5-Port Fast Ethernet Switch with 4 PoE+ Ports
The Edimax ES-5104PH is a 5-Port Fast Ethernet Switch with 4 PoE+ Ports. It is designed for sturdy network connections in small network environments. It is also specially designed for PoE video surveillance applications in such environments as buses, trains, subway cars, and emergency vehicles. This PoE switch is very compact in size, making it ideal for applications in environments with limited space. Complies with the IEEE 802.3at Power over Ethernet (PoE+) Standard The ES-5104PH features 4 IEEE 802.3at Power over Ethernet (PoE+) ports, which supplies up to 30 watts of electricity per port. It can convert standard 100‐240VAC power into low‐voltage 48~55 VDC electricity to power IEEE 802.3at compliant network accessories via existing LAN cables. With PoE detection capability, the ES-5104PH is able to verify whether the connected device is IEEE 802.3at compliant. In the event that a PoE device is not detected, only network data will be transmitted through the LAN cable. With the ES-5104PH, network products such as access points and network cameras can be easily set up and managed. Complies with Cat 5e Ethernet Cables for Higher Cost Efficiency The ES-5104PH can transmit both power and network data via Cat 5e Ethernet cables. With the ES-5104PH, no special networking cables or power adapters are necessary for PoE applications. The ES-5104PH reduces the difficulty, time, and cost of establishing a sturdy network environment. Supports Auto‐MDI/MDI‐X Every port on the ES-5104PH can automatically detect the connected cable type. There is no need for crossover cables whether it is bridging two switches or connecting the ES-5104PH to a computer. Supports Auto‐Negotiation Whether it is 10Mbps, 100Mbps, half‐duplex mode, or full‐duplex mode, every port on the ES-5104PH can automatically detect the speed at which the connected network device is running and adjusting accordingly. Supports Non‐Blocking Wired Speed The ES-5104PH can receive and forward network traffic seamlessly with its non‐blocking wire speed. All ports on the ES-5104PH can simultaneously support bandwidth speeds of up to 200Mbps in full‐duplex mode. This feature allows for full wire speed for all connected devices and ensures a smooth‐running network environment. Supports Store and Forward Architecture With this function, the ES-5104PH can maximize network performance while minimizing the propagation of bad network packets.
