SETTING THE ALARM 1. Press and hold the Alarm (7), and or (4) to adjust your desired alarm time, then release the Alarm (7) to store your setting in memory. 2. Select your wake-up mode (19) in AUTO (for CD or RADIO), BUZZER (for alarm sound) or Off to switch off the alarm. WAKE UP TO THE RADIO 1. Follow procedures 1 to 6, in "LISTENING TO THE RADIO", to select your desired radio station. 2. Switch to the AUTO position (19), the alarm indicator will alight. WAKE UP TO THE CD 1. Follow procedures 1 to 6, in "LISTENING TO THE CD PLAYER". 2. Press and hold (5), and or (4), until the desired track number is displayed, then release (5) to store your setting in memory. At any time you can check which track number is selected by pressing this key. 3. Switch to the AUTO (19) position, the alarm LED indicator (24) will alight. At wake-up time, the CD will play until the end of the disc, unless the REPEAT function is activated; then it will play continuously for approximately 2 hours. To stop the music, press Power OFF (9). SECURITY WAKE-UP : If the disc compartment is empty, the disc loaded incorrectly, or the disc is damaged; the alarm will shift automaticaly to buzzer sound. WAKE UP TO THE BUZZER SOUND Switch to the BUZZER position (19), the alarm LED indicator (24) will alight. STOPPING THE ALARM LOCATION OF CONTROLS 1. Play/Pause : To start playing the CD or to stop momentarily the disc player 2. Stop : To stop playing the disc 3. Repeat : To play the disc continuously 4. Skip / Fast Search / Set ( backward / forward ) : - CD track skip and fast search within the track - All clock functions fast and slow setting (Fast setting : press and hold / Slow setting : press repeatedly) 5. : To select your favorite CD wake up track 6. Snooze : Interval alarm repetition 7. Alarm : Set 8. Power on : To switch on the CD or the radio 9. Power off : To switch off CD, Radio, Alarm or Sleep 10. Time : Set 11. Alarm on LED indicator 25. Dial scale and pointer 26. FM Stereo LED indicator POWER SUPPLY This CD clock radio operates on AC 230V ~ 50 Hz. It is also equipped with a battery back-up system, powered by an optional 9V battery type 6F22 (not provided). 1. Insert the AC power cord (18) into a convenient standard AC wall outlet. 2. Connect the 9V battery inside the compartment at the bottom of the unit (17). NOTE : An alkaline type battery is recommended. For optimum performance, this battery should be replaced every 6 months. SETTING THE TIME 1. Press and hold TIME (10) and (4) or to adjust to your desired time. 2. Release TIME (10) to store your setting in memory. LISTENING TO THE RADIO 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Switch to FM or AM position with the function selector (14). For a better reception in FM, extend the antenna (16). In AM, rotate the unit. Press Power ON (8). Adjust the volume (20) to the desired level. Select your desired radio station (13) and (25) - (If the FM station is being received in stereo, the LED indicator (26) will alight). 6. To stop listening to the radio press Power OFF (9). LISTENING TO THE CD PLAYER 1. Press (12) to open, load your disc then shut the CD door (15). 2. Switch to the CD position (14). 3. Press ON (8), the Display (22) will show blinking until the player is ready, then it will return to the clock time after few seconds. 4. Press to start listening from the first track. The Display (22) will show , then it will return to the clock time. NOTE : Use also this knob to suspend momentarily the playing track. The current track number will blink on the display. Press once again to continue playing. 5. Rotate the volume (20) to adjust the desired level. 6. Press (2) to stop listening to the disc. The display will show for a few seconds, then it will return to the clock time. OTHER CD PLAYER FUNCTIONS REPEAT (3) : Press once to play the disc continuously, the repeat indicator will alight. Press again to switch off this function. The repeat indicator will go off. SKIP / FAST SEARCH (4) : Press to skip forward to the next track or repeatedly to skip several tracks. Press to return to the beginning of the playing track, or press repeatedly to skip backwards several tracks. Press and hold or to search quickly within a track. on the display (22) indicates that the disc compartment is empty or that the disc is loaded incorrectly or that the disc is damaged and cannot be read by the CD player. The alarm is programmed to run for 1 hour 59 min. 1. SNOOZE (6) : Press to stop the alarm temporarily (the display blinks), the alarm will stop and ring again automatically, after 9 min. You can programme your own interval between the alarm repetitions from 1 min. to 30 min. Press and hold SNOOZE, and or (4). Then release SNOOZE to store in memory your setting. 2. Power OFF (9) : The alarm will stop, and will sound again 24 hours later. 3. OFF (19) : To turn off the alarm permanently the alarm LED indicator(24)will go off. SLEEP TO MUSIC Select CD/FM/AM (14), then press SLEEP (11), the sound will come on for 59 min. If you want to change this sleep time, press and hold SLEEP (11), and use or to adjust to the desired time between 1 min and 1 hour 59 min. If you want to turn off the music before the end of the programme, press Power OFF (9) or SNOOZE (6). NOTE : If the CD play time is shorter than your selected sleep time, the music will stop at the end of the disc unless, you use the REPEAT function (3). BATTERY BACK-UP SYSTEM In the event of AC power disruption, the specially designed back-up memory system provides you with a safe wake-up. Installing a 9V battery ensures that all programmed settings are always kept in memory. In order to preserve the battery life, the display will not light, but the unit will continue to operate. If the AC power has not been restored by the wake-up time; the alarm will still work as usual in radio and buzzer mode, however if the CD alarm mode is selected it will automatically change to the alarm sound. NOTE : If the optional battery is not installed, in the case of an AC power failure, the display will blink to indicate that power was interrupted. You will need to redo the time and the wake-up settings. MORE INFORMATION - Do not use your set immediately after transport from a cold place to a warm place, there may be condensation problems. Make sure that you keep your set away from water and high temperatures. Clean the player with a soft cloth, or a damp chamois leather. Never use solvents. NOTES ON COMPACT DISCS If there is a scratch, dirt or fingerprints on the CD, it may cause tracking error. Before playing, clean the CD with a cleaning cloth. Wipe the CD from the center out. Don't store discs in places with high temperatures or high humidity - they can become warped. After playing, store the CD in its case.
