2 Place the base on the floor near the final location for the system. Remove the shipping foam from between the foundation and metal overlay. Turn the overlay so the most presentable side faces upward. 3 Insert the phone cable (from the phone box) and the VGA cable (from cable bag 1) through the cable channel that runs along the underside of the base and pull them through the hole in the center. Pull at least 1 m (3.3 ft) of the phone cable and 80 cm (32 in) of the VGA cable through the hole. Cables can be inserted into the cable channel from the front (shown) or back of the base. 4 Thread the phone cable and VGA cable through the hole in the bottom of the stand and place the stand on top of the base bolts. LifeSize recommends a second person to assist mounting the stand to the base. 5 Use 2 thumbscrew caps to secure the stand to the outer base bolts. Note: Do not secure the middle bolt at this time.

Note: Secure only the top bolt at this time. 8 Insert the video system, back end facing up, into the middle brackets on the component panel. Adjust the brackets so the two fan ports on the video system are positioned directly beneath the rectangular hole in the panel. 9 Place the component panel inside the stand, using the bolt near the speaker and the middle bolt on the base as guides. Use 2 thumbscrew caps to secure the panel to both bolts. Ensure the speaker cables remain in front or to the side of the panel (but inside the stand) as you secure it.
