X756 1189 7 INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLATION AND OPERATION MODEL: V22PA, MEDIUM-DUTY POLE-MOUNTING ADAPTER INTRODUCTION The V22PA Medium-Duty Pole-Mounting Adapter accommodates Vicon’s medium-duty V1600WM and V2400AWM wall mounts for outdoor installations. The V22PA with an attached wall mount can support a complete camera system, including a pan-and-tilt drive, up to the load limit of the particular wall mount used. Constructed of IO-gauge, heavy-duty steel, the pole-mounting adapter with an attached wall mount provides a sturdy installation that is capable of withstanding extreme weather conditions. 1. Use 3/8- 16 bolts supplied to attach the inside and outside adapter plates to the pole. The supplied lockwashers and flat washers should be used under the head of each of the four (4) bolts. See Figure 1. 2. Make certain that the threads of the bolts fully engage the threads in the opposite plate before tightening the bolts securely. Do not over tighten. MAINTENANCE The V22PA Pole-Mounting Adapter does not require maintenance. INSTALLATION NOTE: Specific installation circumstances will dictate whether the required wall mount should be attached before or after the polemounting adapter is ilt place on the pole. WALL MOUNT-TO-ADAPTER PLATE INSTALLATION The following procedure should be followed to attach the wall mount to the adapter plate: 1. Locate the outside adapter plate. This is the one without the threaded holes. 2. Secure the wall mount to the adapter plate using the appropriate hardware supplied with the wall mount. PLATE-TO-POLE INSTALLATION The following procedure should be used to mount the adapter plate to poles. The pole mount adapter is designed to be used only with 3 to 4 inch (8 to 10 cm) diameter heavy-walled poles. FLAT WASHER LOCK WASHER Figure 1 Assembly Detail Vicon part number 8006-8756-00-00.
