Configure the New System The new chassis needs to be configured to match the unit it is replacing: 1. If a License was purchased for optional features, contact Overland Technical Support to activate those features: http://support.overlandstorage.com/support/ contact.htm#ts 2. If replication is activated on this appliance, activate the Storage Journal drive. Refer to the SnapServer Administrator's Guide for complete details. a. In the SAN Web Manager, click the Pools tab. b. In the Actions list on the left, click Set Storage Journal. c. At the Storage Journal Configuration page, select the SCSI drive (~80 GB) from the list and click Add. NOTE: If the server was configured as an EDR master console, new licenses must be installed, as they are based on the server number.
Return Old Parts to Overland 1. Place the old chassis in the anti-static bag and put it in the replacement part’s box. 2. Use an RMA to return the part to Overland Storage. For return shipping details and RMA number, go to: http://docs.overlandstorage.com/return-instructions
