Matching Overland's NEO SERIES of libraries to existing High Voltage Differential SCSI systems is made simple with Overland Storage’s High Voltage Option (HVO) card. The HVO card is your generation bridge for NEO SERIES libraries to the installed base of High Voltage Differential SCSI based servers and systems.
Overview & Installation
The HVO card is designed to fit into one of the Virtual Interface Architecture (V.I.A.) bays built into all NEO SERIES libraries providing a simple seamless way to attach or share your NEO SERIES library. V.I.A.'s PCI based architecture provides a new level of integration, simplification and scalability when using the HVO card to solve legacy SCSI issues. The Overland Storage High Voltage Option Card supports all major operating systems including HP-UX, IBM AIX, Linux, Mac OS, Novell NetWare, SCO UNIX, Sun Solaris, Tru64 UNIX, Windows NT/2000 and more
Terminator Note: Terminates the HV connection at this end of the SCSI bus. Normally left in the ON position, unless This device is not at one end of the Bus.

Installing the HVO Card Install HVO Interface Card NOTE: Overland Storage recommends that this part be installed by an Overland Storage authorized service provider. Improper installation may result in damage to this part or the library which will void the current warranty.
1) Remove the cover plate from one of the two VIA Option bay slots by removing the (2) retainer screws. NOTE: The HVO card will not operate in right most VIA slot on the secondary card cage of NEO 4000 libraries
2) Carefully insert and seat the HVO card into one of the VIA Option bay slots and secure the card by tightening the (2) retaining screws.
The HVO card DOES NOT operate in the right most V.I.A. slot of the secondary card cage. DO NOT install HVO card in this slot.
3) Connect the HVO Interface card to the Library Controller card with the cable provided as illustrated below. 4) Attach the host cable to the HVO Interface card. NOTE: Ensure cables are dressed so as not to interfere with removal and replacement of the unit or adjacent units.
