Revision date: 06.27.11 STK# 108680 Description Hose Cart 1 CARTS AND WAGONS CARE AND MAINTENANCE • Periodically check all fasteners to assure they are tight. • Clean the cart using water and mild soap. Rinse with water sprayed from a garden hose. • Check the tire pressure and adjust to recommended pressure if needed. REQUIRED TOOLS The following list identifies the main tools needed for assembly. To safely assemble the cart, two (2) individuals are needed. • Flathead screwdriver • Metric and standard wrenches and socket set • Pliers UNPACK AND IDENTIFY PARTS YOU MUST READ THIS DOCUMENT BEFORE YOU BEGIN TO ASSEMBLE THE CART. The following steps help to ensure that you have all the necessary parts before you begin. Thank you for purchasing this hose cart. When properly assembled and maintained, this product will provide years of reliable service. These instructions include helpful hints and important information needed to safely assemble and properly maintain the cart. Please read these instructions before you begin. 1. Unpack the contents of the shipment and place where you can easily inventory the parts. 2. If anything is missing or you have questions, consult the Pictorial Parts List or contact Customer Service. If you have any questions during the assembly, contact Customer Service for assistance. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS • Do not use the cart if any part is broken or damaged. • This cart is not a toy. Do not allow children to use the cart. • Do not use on inclines; cart may tip or roll away. • Inflate the tires with ambient air only. • Inflate the tires to the proper level as indicated on the tires. Do not inflate tires more than 30 PSI. • Never use a flammable gas to inflate the tires. • Never allow riders on the cart. 2 Revision date: 06.27.11 CARTS AND WAGONS 1 INSTALL AXLES AND WHEELS To better align the cart, do not fully tighten the nuts and bolts until the entire cart is assembled. NOTE: Hardware may ship attached to parts. Photos used in these instructions are not to scale. 1. Remove lock nut and washer from each end of the axles (if needed). Slide axles through the holes of the main frame as shown in diagram A. 2. Slide one (1) wheel, 12mm flat washer, and 12mm locknut in that order onto each end of both axles as shown in diagram B. Do not over tighten the nuts, wheels spin freely. Axle Axles A B Flat washer and locknut are used on the outside of the wheel. Install the wheel with the valve stem to the outside. Parts List and Tools Required Axles (2) Flat Head Screwdriver 12mm Locknuts (4) Main Frame (1) Socket/Wrench Set Wheels (4) Pliers Revision date: 06.27.11 12mm Flat Washers (4) 3 CARTS AND WAGONS 2 INSTALL REEL FRAME AND REEL CRANK NOTE: Hardware may ship attached to parts. 1. Place reel frame inside the main frame with the hose connection towards the side of the frame with the two pre-drilled holes. 2. Align the holes of the U-shaped bracket on the reel frame with the pre-drilled holes in the main frame. With assistance, secure using 6x30mm bolts, washers and lock nuts. See diagram A. 3. Insert reel crank through the pre-attached U-bolt on the main frame and into the crank slot on the reel frame. Align holes and secure using two (2) 6mm bolts, one (1) lock nut, and one (1) acorn nut. Slide handle onto the vertical posts of the main frame. 2. Align the holes of the handle with the holes in the main frame. Secure using 6x40mm bolts, washers and lock nuts. Align the basket holes with the holes on the backside of the handle. Secure using 8x45mm bolts, washers, and lock nuts. See diagram A. 2. Insert one (1) rubber washer into the connector end of the leader hose and connect leader hose to the hose connection slot on the reel frame. See diagram B. 3. Tighten all connections. Attach garden hose to threaded water supply tube on the reel frame and wind hose onto reel. Periodically check connections to make sure they are tight and secure. 4. Check tire pressure and adjust as needed. Do not inflate tires more than 30 P.S.I.
