Overview Parker Hannifin’s Filtration trolley allows you to transfer, condition monitor and filter fluid, whilst reporting contamination levels using the icountPD product The 10MFP Filtration Trolley measures particle contamination continuously and updates the results to the output display on the icountPD.
Exclusion of Liability Parker has made every endeavour to ensure the accuracy of the content of this document, however errors cannot be ruled out. Consequently, we accept no liability for such errors as may exist or for any damage or loss whatsoever which may arise as a result of such errors. Technical specifications are subject to change without notice.
Conditions for safe use WARNING : When using electric tools, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock and personal injury. To ensure compliance with the certification, users are NOT permitted to open the unit’s electrical or icountPD source under any circumstances. Doing so will invalidate the unit’s calibration and it would NOT be suitable for calibrated use.
Safety Information Please read and understand the Operating Instructions before using the equipment This filtration trolley weighs approximately 62kg (137 lbs). Two persons are required to lift the trolley – one either side of the trolley gripping the handle and the trolley base. Before operating the Filtration trolley ensure all electrical connections, hoses and fittings are securely fitted to the appropriate standards. Check all hoses and fittings for wear and or damage. If replacements are required, please contact your local Parker Hannifin representative. Do NOT use or store this product in wet or damp environmental conditions. Best practice mounting orientation is to have the unit placed on a stable surface with easy access to the power switch and icountPD screen. The Filtration cart is designed for use in dry, indoor environments. There is no need to hold the trolley, but you may need to hold or secure the hose / wand assembly during operation. DO NOT attempt to move the trolley when in use. Do not remove the hose / wand assembly when in use. CAUTION: High pressure oil systems can be a hazard to life and limb.
Dangers of maloperation or mishandling In case of maloperation, mishandling or abuse, as well as in cases ignoring the application limits and safety regulations, the following threats can occur: General Danger / Operator Injury Possible Equipment Damage when incorrectly connected to machines / systems or component devices.

Symbol glossary The following symbols are used in this manual.
Warning Warning notices are used in this publication to emphasize that hazardous voltages, currents, temperatures, or other conditions that could cause personal injury exist in this equipment or may be associated with its use. A Warning notice is used in situations where inattention or misuse could cause personal injury.
Caution A Caution notice is used in situations where inattention or misuse could cause damage to the equipment. If the equipment is used in a manner not specified by the manufacturer, the protection/performance may be impaired.
Check Notes merely call attention to information that is especially significant to understanding and operating the equipment. You may need to check the orientation or tightness of connections, for example.
Safety equipment Some operations require special attention to safety, such as the use of safety glasses.
Service/Repair Any servicing or repair work must be carried out by a Parker-approved service centre.
Warning A red band around a picture or instruction is used to emphasize that particular care is required to avoid the danger of personal injury or other hazard.
Caution A yellow band around a picture or instruction is used to emphasize that particular care is required in carrying out the instruction. Examples are checking that plugs are ‘keyed’ (i.e. correctly polarized) before they are fully inserted, or that hoses are fitted carefully so they do not leak.

Product operation
1
2 Insert suction hose into the container for the fluid under test.
Ensure the trolley is on a flat, stable surface and in dry conditions.
3
Secure hoses if necessary, to avoid leakage/spray.
4 CAUTION: Make sure that the hose is not kinked.
Insert pressure hose into waste fluid container.
6
5 See Electrical Connections set up (pages 7–8)
Turn overload switch ON.
7
Turn panel switch ON. Parker recommend that you position the trolley in a safe stable area, as close as possible to the system output, using only the hose assemblies provided. NOTE: The correct hydraulic connection fittings have been supplied with this Filtration trolley and correct safety standards must be applied when using them.

9 Allow 30–60 seconds for filters to fill after starting trolley system
For very viscous fluids it may be necessary to put 1–2 litres of oil into the inlet filter to prime the pump. WARNING: The outlet filter bypass spring acts as a relief valve for the pump. DO NOT restrict the discharge hose with a shut off valve. This will cause excessive pressures in the product which may be harmful to personnel or your equipment.
9
A visual indicator monitors the condition of the filters and indicates CLEAN, CHANGE or BYPASS.
bk
Turn panel switch OFF when the specified fluid condition is met.
bl
Turn the overload switch OFF.

4
Loosen the bolts on the filter cover using a ½” socket set.
Twist the cover to free the bolts…
6
5
… and lift off. Inspect the cover O-ring and replace if damaged or worn.
7
Pull filter element assembly from housing. Caution – Wear appropriate protection if testing hydraulic fluids.
8
Replace the filter media.
Install new elements and replace filter O-ring.
Wire mesh elements can be ultrasonically cleaned (contact Parker for advice).
Caution – Ensure O-ring is seated correctly before fitting filter cover.
