Our light but rugged OIX 7116-U wireless keyboard is fully featured, including 116 keys with 24 function keys and a built-in mouse button pointing device. And unlike IR wireless keyboards, this RF model does not need line-of-sight orientation to work properly. Just plug the included USB dongle into your PC, insert three AA batteries (also included) into the battery compartment located on the back of the keyboard, and you’re ready to type from virtually any location up to 30 feet away!
Ideal for both vehicles and desktops, keys on the OIX 5088 are backlit with red LEDs, so you can see characters on the keys, but don’t lose your dark adaptation when you look at them. An “Emergency” key (at the top left of the keyboard) is mapped to Shift + F1 to launch a user-defined macro. All keys have full travel to facilitate touch typing, and the touchpad pointing device is extremely helpful if your vehicle is in motion. Also helpful during travel is the keyboard’s resistance to 50g shocks & vibration up to 0.04 g/Hz from 20 to 2000 Hz in all three axes.
The silicone rubber surface coating resists not only water but most common industrial coolants & lubricants. Sealed to NEMA 4X (IP65) standards, it resists spills, splashes, and hosedirected water. And harsh environments? Not a problem: the unit is fully operational from – 40° to +203°F (–40° to +95°C).
The coiled connector cable stretches to 6 feet without unduly straining either the USB (-U model) or PS/2 (-P model) connectors. Operating temperature is 32° to +140°F (0° to +60°C). The bottom of the case has both 1.25" and 2.5" mounting holes, so the keyboard can be firmly mounted to almost any surface.

A key reason for excellent resistance to water and dust is the use of sealed membrane switches under the keycaps. With full travel of 4 mm, these membrane switches require only 55 grams of force, so they are kind to typists. The switches are rated for a lifetime of 5 million cycles. The keyboards draw only 100 mA @ 5VDC and withstand operating temperatures of +32° to +122°F (0° to +50°C). Storage temperature is –4 to +149°F (–20 to +65°C). Operating humidity is 10 to 85%, noncondensing.

Our OIX 5072 keyboard replaces the typist’s confusing QWERTY keyboard with a simple alphabetical arrangement, so nontypists can easily find the keys they need to enter data or commands. And because technicians often work with gloves on, the keys are spaced well apart with plenty of travel for good tactile feel — there’s no need to take gloves off! The OIX 5072 keyboard is built to withstand both wet and corrosive environments and is sealed to NEMA 4X standards. CyberResearch’s OIX 7114D meets tough NEMA 4X specifications and is reliable under the most severe conditions. Each keyswitch is protected by silicone rubber for maximum chemical resistance without sacrificing tactile feel. The keyboard has 114 keys, including 20 function keys. The integral mouse button pointing device is formed with the same silicone rubber as the keys, so contamination from dust and dirt is eliminated. It features three buttons and a digital joypad with 10° of movement in any direction, offering full rotational travel and positive directional positioning. The buttons operate like those on a standard 3-button mouse, where the third button may be set up for double-clicking or drag-locking.

The OIX 4116D is a 116-key desktop keyboard with a black ABS polycarbonate plastic case. Sealed to NEMA 4X specifications, its waterproof interface surface is a single sheet of industrial silicone rubber that is perfect for messy or harsh environments. If it gets dirty, it can be washed or even hosed down! It features a built-in 3-button mouse button pointing device, two Windows keys, and 24 function keys. The anodized aluminum front panel resists most common industrial corrosives and gives these units a great look. The keyboard drawer is 19" W x 1.75" (1U) H x 13.5"D (483 x 45 x 343mm). When fully extended, the rack drawer pulls out 11.9" (302 mm) from the rack, 13.8" (351mm) including front handle. OIX 1310 Low-Cost Trackball Keyboard Our OIX 1310 features large wrist rests with a two-button trackball pointing device in the center. Full-travel keys make this keyboard suitable for typing, not just occasional data entry. Not only is it very comfortable to use, the OIX 1310 is the most reasonably priced rack-mount trackball keyboard we’ve found. It uses 13.5" of rack depth, with a handle that protrudes 1.9". The OIX 1310 has PS/2 trackball and keyboard connectors and includes USB and DB-9 serial adapters for the trackball connector.
OIX 1410 Metal-Frame Trackball Keyboard The OIX 1410 is mounted in a rugged aluminum and steel case which slides in and out of the rack housing. Its compact 2-button trackball is centered under the space bar and emulates a serial mouse. The keyboard slides out with ease and firmly locks into position, yet it can be unlocked and put away with a single finger. A latching door protects the unit when not in use. The door is spring-loaded for easy opening and closing. The OIX 1410 provides an excellent tactile feel, a full 104-key layout (including two Windows® keys and a right-mouse-button key), and a curved, comfortable wrist rest to make typing a pleasure. The OIX 1410 is available in beige or black enclosure versions (please see ordering information box at right for more details). If you need a keyboard for a hazardous or contaminated environment, please consider the NEMA 4, 4X, and 6 keyboards listed on page 102.
