1 The Features Linear battery charger always on float charge and therefore effectively protected against overcharging and the battery can remain permanentely connected to the charger and automatically charge the maintenance free sealed lead acid battery and back-up after interruption of AC supply from utility power source. Built in low voltage cut-off feature, easy handling, compact size and light weight. (c) Door Lock Timer Control (VR3) User can be adjust VR3 potentialmeter for the timing of the EM Lock or Drop Bolt to close after opening. Clockwise is to longer the time(estimated 10 sec.) and anti-clockwise is to shortened the time (estimated 5 sec.) (d) Door Tamper Switch (connector 11 & 12) This is connected to normally close (NC) magnetic switch or other normally close device, when this normally close device open circuit , the internal buzzer will be will sound, until the normally close device close back. This buzzer can be isolate by selecting the ON/OFF pin on the PCB board. 2 Standard three LED's for status indication Green LED : Mains AC supply available (Mains on) Green LED : Battery are connected to charger or charging are available (Battery in or Charge) Green LED : Load are feed to equipment (Load output) (e) Door Exit Push Button control (connector 9 & 10) This is connected to emergency exit push button device, to open the door when emergency case. 3 Applications > Emergency back-up system for Reader & EM Lock 4 Back-up time (base on 12V7AH SLA Battery end voltage 10.8V) * Back-up up to 4 to 5 hours for 1 Reader + 1 EM Lock (600ibs) * Back-up up to 2 to 3 hours for 1 Reader + 2 EM Lock (600ibs+ 600ibs) * Back-up up to 3 to 4 hours for 2 Reader + 1 EM Lock (600ibs) * Long battery back-up also available up on require (f) External IN 1 & IN 2 (connector 7 & 8) This External INPUT(IN 1) is connected to the IN Reader of Normally open contact, and External INPUT (IN 2) is connected to the OUT Reader of Normally open contact. 12 Installation Procedure 5 Protection (a) The battery charger is protected against overload protection by current limiting device (b) Battery and Load output by fuses. (a) AC Input ON/OFF switch To switch on transformer secondary 15V AC voltage to the power supply board, Mains On & Battery IN Led will lit is to present mains available and battery fuse NOT blown, and battery can be connect to the battery terminal. 6 Enclosure Mild sheet metal threated with chemical rust inhibitor and rust resisting primer coat and finally, painted with epoxy powder forms the enclosure. (b) Load Output ON/OFF switch To power on the reader and electromagmnetic lock, Load output Led ON present output voltage available 7 Environmental Temperature : 10 degree to 40 degree celcuis, Humidity : 0 to 95 % relative humidity 9 The Specification System Output Voltage AC Input Voltage (Vac) AC Input Current (Aac) Frequency (Hz) Charging Voltage (Vdc) Charging Current (Adc) Output Regulation (%) Output Current (Adc) Transfer time Dimension (mm) internal dimension Dimension (mm) overall Cabinet Weight (kg) Battery Nominal Voltage Battery Weight (kg) (c) Connect power supply to a utility power source (230V or 240Vac) L = Live (Red/Brown color cable) E = Earth (Green/Yelow & green cable) N = Neutral (Black/Blue cable) Now you can switch on the utility power source and turn ON the AC input switch. 12V 230 or 240 250mA 50/60 Hz 13.6 V dc 0.5A dc 13.6V '+/- 1% (Internal PCB measurement) 3A +/- 2 % On Line H = 260, D = 78, & W = 260mm H = 270, D = 100, & W = 270mm estimated 2.9kg without battery 12V estimated 2.2kg for 12V7ah batttery (d) Battery connection Make sure the polarity of battery is correct. Positive (+) red cable to battery (+) terminal Negative (-) Black cable to battery (-) terminal. (e) Load output, Reader, EM Lock, External Input & Exit push button connection Please refer to page 4 (wiring diagram). 13 Trouble shooting procedures (a) Mains On Led Not Light up Check the AC Input fuse rated at 6A whether the fuse blown or Not, if blown replace new fuse with same rating. After replace still blown up please consult your distributor, factory for asistant or return the fault unit 10 The functions (a) To power on the reader and electromagmnetic lock when utility power supply failure (b) To support rechargeable backup battery (compatible with any 12V rechargeable backup battery) and to act as a backup power supply in the event of power failure (b) Battery IN Led Not Light up Check the battery fuse rated at 3A whether the fuse blown or Not, if blown replace new fuse with same rating. After replace still blown up please consult your distributor, factory for asistant or return the fault unit 11 The Design (Please refer to the wiring diagram for more details). (a) Low voltage Dis-connected feature (default setting) Built in low voltage disconneted feature, to cut off the load when battery voltage drop (discharges) below 10.8Vdc, during utility power supply failure. (b) Low voltage Re-connected feafure (default setting) The system will be re-connected to the load when the charging battery voltage rise above 12.5V, 2 (c) Load Output Led Not Light up Check the load output fuse rated at 3A whether the fuse blown or Not, if blown replace new fuse with same rating. After replace still blown up please check polarity of the load output connection to Reader and EM lock, and measure the short circuit and ohmic of the Reader, EM lock and the system wiring or please consult your distributor, factory for asistant or retur the fault unit. * All the specification will change without prior notice. * * Special requirements of design also available upon request 3
