1. Driver Installation Note: For different windows users, the installation procedures are similar to each other. Note for Windows 8 or 8.1 users: insert the Wireless USB adapter into the USB slot of your computer and the system will automatically install the driver. The device will be ready to use. You DO NOT NEED TO FOLLOW THE NEXT STEPS, unless you want to install the utility software. Step 1: Insert the Wireless USB adapter into the USB slot of your computer. The system will automatically find the device and search for its driver. For Windows Vista or Windows 7, please click Close, if you see the following box.
For Windows XP, please click Cancel, if you see the following box.

Step 2: Insert Wireless USB Adapter Installation CD into CD-ROM drive, it should run automatically as shown below, and then click on Install Driver to start the installation. If it doesn’t run automatically, please open CD-ROM and click folder Driver->Windows->Setup.exe to start the installation.
Note: Please click Yes, if you see the following box

Step 3: Installation descriptions shown. Click I accept the terms of the license agreement , Click Next to continue.
Step 4: Select Install driver and Mediatek WLAN Utility and click Next to continue

Step 5: Select Mediatek Configuration Tool and click Next to continue
Note: Click Install this driver software anyway if you see the following box appeared.

Step 6: Click Install to continue
Step 7: Click Finish to finish the installation

2. Connecting to a Wireless Network Step 1: Open the Software by double-clicking on the icon
in the taskbar in the bottom right corner of your screen.
Step 2: To connect to an alternative network, click the Available Networks button.
Step 3: In the Available Networks window that appears, select the name of the network to which you are connecting. Then click the connect icon
and wait several seconds while the Software sets up a connection.
Step 4: The Software automatically detects and displays the security settings of the network to which you are connecting in the Profile Settings screens. The following screen might be different (depends on the security settings of your wireless connection). In any case, click on the right arrow and eventually type the encryption key if required. If the Software shows that WPA-PSK or WPA2-PSK security is detected, click the right arrow to save your settings.

In the screen that displays, in the 'WPA Preshared Key' field, type a security key, the same as that used by the AP or wireless router to which you are connecting. Click the right arrow to save your settings and connect to the network.
Step 5: Once you are connected the Available Networks screen shows the status of your connection.
