TO ACTIVATE THE CLOCK Requires 3 x AA batteries 1. Remove the battery cover located at the base of the clock. 2. Insert 3 x AA batteries observing the polarity symbols indicated inside the compartment. 3. Replace the battery cover. SETTING THE TIME 1. Slide the mode switch to the "TIME" position. 2. Press the hour button to advance the display to the desired hour. 3. Press the minute button to advance the display to the desired minutes. Ensuring that you have set AM/PM correctly. The PM icon will appear on the display for PM time only. 4. Slide the mode switch down to show the normal time display. SETTING THE DATE 1. Slide the mode switch to the "DATE" position. 2. Press the year button to advance the display to the correct year. 3. Press the month button to advance the display to the correct month. 4. Press the date button to advance the display to the correct date. 5. Slide the mode switch down to show the normal time display. SETTING THE ALARM TIME 1. Slide the mode switch to the "ALARM" position. 2. Press the hour button to advance the display to the desired alarm hour. 3. Press the minute button to advance the display to the desired alarm minute. Ensuring that you have set AM/PM correctly. The PM icon will appear on the display for PM time only. 4. Slide the mode switch down to show the normal time display. TO TURN ON/OFF THE ALARM 1. Slide the ALARM switch to the "ON" position. The alarm symbols " " & " Zz" will appear on the display. 2. The alarm will activate at the preset time and sound for 60 seconds. 3. Slide the ALARM switch to the "OFF" position to shut off the alarm... OR 4. Press the Snooze/Light button once and the alarm will stop and sound again after approximately 5 minutes. Each time the Snooze/Light button is pressed the alarm will continue to sound approximately every 5 minutes until the ALARM switch is turned OFF. DISPLAY 12/24 HOUR FORMAT 1. Press the 12/24 button to select either the 12 or 24 hour format. DISPLAY LIGHT 1. Press the SNOOZE/LIGHT button to light up the display for 5 seconds. NOTE: Frequent use of the light will drain the batteries more quickly. TEMPERATURE C / F 1. Press the C / F button to switch display between degrees Celsius and degrees Fahrenheit.
RESET BUTTON Press to reset the clock. R
SMARTLITE This clock incorporates new technology called "SMARTLITE R ". In a dark environment or when the LIGHT SENSOR is covered, the display will stay illuminated. In a bright environment, the Smartlite R will shut OFF to prolong battery life. The Smartlite R function may be used up to 8 hours per day with battery life of approximately 16 months. R
TO TURN THE SMARTLITE FEATURE ON/OFF To turn ON the Smartlite R feature slide the Smartlite R switch at the back of the clock to the "ON" position. To turn OFF slide the switch to the "OFF" position. BATTERY INFORMATION - It is recommended that you replace the batteries annually or if the display & alarm becomes weak. - Do not mix new or used batteries, different types or brands. - Only use AA (1.5V) Alkaline batteries in this cloc k. - Please dispose of used batteries in a responsible manner.
MAINTENANCE A soft cloth may be used to clean your clock. Do not use any corrosive cleaner or chemical solutions on the clock. Keep the clock clean and dry to avoid any problems. YOUR GUARANTEE Your clock is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of purchase against any faults arising from defective materials or manufacture. Damage caused through careless handling, misuse or in transit is expressly excluded. Should this clock fail within 12 months please return it in the first instance to your retailer.
