Disponible on français There are two aggregation universes that corrise the Trade Measures database. The first is aggregated by coRinodity while the second, a re-aggregation of the first, is by 'conm, odity grouping'. Each record contains one year of data, that is, twelve monthly figures, four quarterly figures and one annual (or year-to-data) figure. The identification that appears in the first eight bytes of each record breaks down as follows: Positions 1 - 3 Data identifier Pos. I Trade direction code ('H' for Iiortsj 'X' for Exports) Pos. 2 Data type Pos. 31 Copdined 'level of adjustment' and principal trading area cod. Positions 4 - 6 Co.miiodity Group identification Positions 7 & 8 Year code The four tables that follow show all of the possible data identifiers and their meanings: Data Identifications for 'IMPORTS by COPtIODITY' Data Description: DOLLARS: CURRENT CONSTANT INDICES: VALUE PAASCHES LASPEYRES VOLUME GRAND TOTAL U.S. IFA IFB PEA P*4A MXA (WA IIZA RAN' data: 0TH 0TH ALL U.K. EEC JAPAN OECD 0TH 1BC PFD IFE 1FF (BC GRAND TOTAL 1FN PEN Ii'IN MXN ItYN MZN 'SEASONALLY ADJUSTED' data: 0TH 0TH ALL U.S. U.K. EEC JAPAN OECD 0TH IFO IFP PBQ (FR PBS PBT Data Identifications for 'IMPORTS by COItIODITY GROUPING' Data Description: DOLLARS: CURRENT CONSTANT INDICES: PAASCHES GRAND TOTAL PfTA IJJA (WA 'RAN' data: 0TH 0TH ALL U.S. U.K. EEC JAPAN OECD 0TH PBB (BC IFD IFE 1FF 1FG GRAND TOTAL MTN PUN MVN 'SEASONALLY ADJUSTED' data: 0TH 0TH ALL U.S. U.K. EEC JAPAN OECD 0TH (BO PBP IBQ (BR IFS (FT Data Identifications for 'EXPORTS by COtIIODITY' Data Description: DOLLARS: CURRENT CONSTANT INDICES: VALUE PAASCHES LASPEYRES VOLUME GRAND TOTAL U.S. XBA XBB XKA XNA XXA XYA XZA 'RAN' data: 0TH 0TH ALL U.K. EEC JAPAN OECD 0TH XBC XBD XBE XBF XBG GRAND TOTAL XBN XKN XIII XXN XYN XZN 'SEASONALLY ADJUSTED' data: 0TH 0TH ALL U.S. U.K. EEC JAPAN OECD 0TH XBO XBP XBQ XBR XBS XBT Data Identifications for 'EXPORTS by COPtIODITY GROUPING Data Description: DOLLARS: CURRENT CONSTANT INDICES: PAASCHES GRAND TOTAL U.S. XTA XBB XUA XVA 'RAN' data: 0TH 0TH ALL U.K. EEC JAPAN OECD 0TH XBC XBD XBE XBF XBG GRAND TOTAL XTN XUN XVN 'SEASONALLY ADJUSTED' data: 0TH 0TH ALL U.S. U.K. EEC JAPAN OECD 0TH XBO XBP XBQ XBR XBS XBT 1 Position three indicates the level of adjustment that has been applied to the data as well as the the principal trading area (PTA).
