Specific Features - 1510 Only
• Automatic station search and memory for last selected station.
• 3 Fixed volume steps.
• Mono sound reproduction.
• Stylish translucent cups – for greater wearer acceptance.
• Battery save function. • Passive attenuation of SNR 24.
Applications
• Lightweight
The 3M™ 1500 Series FM Radio Ear Muffs are ideally suited for monotonous / repetitive or isolated work activity where there is no need to hear external warning sounds e.g. risk of moving vehicles . These products allow you to listen to your favourite radio channels while at the same time reduce the risk of noise-induced hearing damage.
• Stylish design • Durable wide padded headband with unique tension adjustment slide – for comfort and convenience (not 1515H). • Recloseable clam shell packaging – for convenience.
Typical applications include: • Automated assembly work • Bottling plant • Printing and packaging industry • Agriculture / gardening (e.g. lawn cutting / trimming) • Do-it-yourself enthusiasts
Standards and approvals The 3M 1510, 1515 and 1515H FM Radio Ear Muffs meet the Basic Safety Requirements as laid out in Annex II of the European Community Directive 89/686EEC and the requirements of the EMC directive 89/336/EEC for CE marking in accordance with EN55013, EN50082-1, EN55020, EN352-1 :1993 or EN352-3 :1996. Warnings 1) These ear muffs are equipped with electronic restoration of radio signal. The user must verify correct operation before usage. If distortion or any other faults relating to sound reproduction occurs, follow the instructions for maintenance and battery replacement.
5) The user must ensure that the ear muffs are:
2) The performance of the ear muffs may deteriorate with battery usage. The life expectancy of the alkaline battery may vary between different brands, however, typically it may be in the region of 180-200 hours for 3M1510 and 130 hours for 3M1515 and 1515H.
6) Ear muffs and in particular cushions may deteriorate with use and should be examined at frequent intervals for cracking and leakage, for example.
3) When calculating the effective attenuation of the ear muffs, consideration should be given to the output signals of the radio restoration. The calculated total A-weighted sound pressure level inside the cup should not exceed 85 dB. 4) When worn, hearing protectors reduce ambient sounds, which may affect warning signals and vital communication. Although the 1500 Series FM Radio feature a sound limiter function, excessive volume selection may affect audibility of vital communication and emergency sounds e.g. fire alarm. Always ensure you select the right product to match the working environment and adjust the volume so that vital communication and emergency sounds can be heard.
