This AFENION PoE Smart switch with 16 x 10/100Mbps PoE Ethernet RJ45 ports plus 2 x Gigabit RJ45 / SFP combo ports delivers the features business need to improve the availability of missioncritical applications. This Switch is Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE), and it is fully complied with IEEE 802.3at PoE-Plus standard at maximum 30W power budget per port; it is also backward compatible with IEEE 802.3af PoE standard as well. The PoE ports can automatically detect and supply power with IEEE 802.3af/at powered devices (PD), the electrical power is transmitted, along with data, in one single cable allowing you to expand your network to where there are no power lines or outlets, ideal for where you wish to locate Access Point, IP Camera or IP Phone, etc. It helps to save infrastructure wiring costs dramatically by eliminating electric wiring and less UPS needed. In addition, the open SFP (Small Form-factor Pluggable) slot is a compact, hot-pluggable input/output interface that supports MSA-compliant 1000Base-X SFP mini-GBIC single / multi-mode fibre optic transceiver at varying distances. You may add transceivers to connect the switches to other network devices over long distances, build a high-speed backbone network between network devices, or connect high-speed devices, such as servers, to your network. This Smart switch supports the switch management features such as VLAN to segregate network groups, QoS to prioritise important traffics, Trunking to increase uplink bandwidth and Web-based management to monitor the switch status remotely. This switch is designed for mid-sized network that require simple management, security, and quality of service.
