Students need to learn how loud is too loud. We've coupled our best-selling Spirit (1776) with a Sound Alert jackbox and six headphones. When audio is played through the ten-position jackbox (and it’s plugged in for power), one of its 2 top-mounted LEDs will be illuminated. When the green light is on, it indicates a “safe” volume that’s lower than 85 decibels. If the red light is on, it denotes an “unsafe” volume exceeding 85 decibels, warning students and teachers the potential for hearing loss exists. 1.
