INTRODUCTION This document is a Specific assembly manual intended for use on an 18” Mitech Energy Dissipating Disk Stack Retrofit to a CCI Valve body. The drawings included in this manual refer to the above mentioned For identification of parts and components numbers, please refer to the drawings and parts descriptions tables. 2. ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS 2.1 2.2 Fit seat ring (5) and seat gasket into body Re-assemble the disk stack (60) in the valve, taking care to maintain the correct disk sequence and orientation. NOTE : 2.3 2.4 2.5 2.6 Semi-circular notches on the disk must (i) line up and (ii) Be on top of the disk Fit the Pressure balance seal (43) into the pressure balance sleeve (22) ensuring correct orientation (pressure on the top). Fit the pressure balance sleeve (22) into the top of the disk stack (6). Fit the pressure balance ‘O’-ring (44) onto the pressure balance sleeve. Fit bottom guide (33), seal kit (45), 4 off rings 3/8” braided packing (46), guide liner (36) and retainer (35) into the modified bonnet. NOTE :(35 and 36 must be pre-assembled) 2.7 2.8 2.9 2.10 2.11 2.12 2.13 2.14 2.15 Slide the plug stem (17) through the packing from below. Draw the plug all the way into the bonnet. Fit the modified bonnet (7) to the valve, ensuring that the plug does not fall out. Fit the bonnet flange complete with studs and nuts, but do not tighten Fit actuator assembly onto the bonnet and clamp. Fit gland flange. Fit stem clamp (3) leaving approximately 3/8” gap between actuator stem and plug stem.
