2001 Toyota RAV4 Sport Utility PRELIMINARY: Disconnect the negative battery cable. ANTENNA: The factory antenna is located atop the right front fender panel. RADIO REMOVAL AND IN-DASH INSTALLATION: Note: The factory radio provision is for a Double ISO/DIN style radio. An installation kit is required when installing an aftermarket stereo. We recommend the Scosche TA2047B. 1. Extract (4) 5mm Hex screws from radio trim bezel and pry off using Panel removal tool. 2. Extract (4) 10mm bolts securing radio, pull away, disconnect, and remove. FRONT DOOR SPEAKER INSTALLATION: Note: The factory speaker provision is for a 1 ½” tweeter and a 6 ½” 3-Hole speaker mounted to a factory speaker adapter. 1. Remove screw cover from door grabber and exract (2) Philips head screws 2. Extract (1) Philips head screw from interior door handle, pull forward to remove. 3. Using panel removal tool, remove door triangle. 4. Exract (1) plastic fastener from rear top portion of door. 5. Pry off door panel, pull away, disconnect, and remove. 6. Drill out (3) rivets securing speaker, pull away, disconnect, and remove. REAR DOOR SPEAKER INSTALLATION: Note: The factory speaker provision is for a 6 ½” 3-Hole speaker mounted in a factory speaker adapter. 1. Remove screw cover from door grabber and extract (2) Philips head screws. 2. Extract (1) Philips head screw from interior door handle, pull forward to remove. 3. Pry off door panel, pull away, disconnect and remove. 4. Drill out (3) rivets securing speaker , pull away, disconnect, and remove.
