SERVICE BULLETIN Date: Subject: 3/31/2003 Number: SB0302 Weight Kit for New Design Z42 and Z48 Details: The new design Z42's and Z48's now have rigid front axles (non-articulating). Therefore, when installing the front weight kit in conjunction with the Z-Rider Grass Catcher, you will need to order weight bracket kit, part # 522169, and weight kit, part # 821017. This change affects Z42's and Z48's with serial # 43664 and above. The diagram below shows the installation instructions for these kits: 1/2" FLATWASHERS (2) WEIGHT 1/2" FLATWASHERS (4) WEIGHT MOUNT BRACKET 1/2" NUT (2) FRONT AXLE TUBE 1/2-13 X 4 (2) 3/8 NUT (4) 3/8-16 X 3-1/2" (4) WEIGHT MOUNT SPACER (6) 1) Using the 3/8x3 1/2 HHCS, bolt together the weight mount bracket (part # 523502) and weight mount spacers (part # 523504) onto the front axle as shown in diagram. 2) Place weight (part # 823281) onto weight mount bracket and secure into place using 1/2x4 HHCS, 1/2 Std Flat Washers, and 1/2 Nyloc Nut as shown in diagram.
