2010 to 2014 Mustang and Shelby GT500 Antenna Relocation Instructions
Thank you for purchasing the antenna relocation kit / antenna delete kit from Four Fields Garage. There are no permanent changes made to the car from installing this kit. This Mustang and Shelby GT500 "antenna delete kit" removes the mast antenna on the rear quarter panel. A gasketed machined aluminum antenna cap is used to cover the antenna hole in the quarter panel. The antenna hole cover is secured in place by the gasket and a bolt on the underside of the quarter panel. This antenna delete kit allows you to either repurpose your defroster grid as the new AM/FM antenna or install a separate window mounted antenna (for example, separately purchase the Metra 44-‐UA25 Universal Window Mounted Antenna in addition to this kit). Installation of the antenna relocation kit provides excellent FM and fair AM reception (receive the strong AM stations). If you have any questions during the installation, please call or email:

Two pieces 3/8” x 2” black heat shrink tubing (to cover defroster connections) 4. M6 x 1 flange nut 5. Custom aluminum antenna cap 6. Custom Pre-‐cut 3M 5925 0.025” thick gasket for antenna cap 7. Antenna cap mounting stud, Nylon spacer, and 5/16” flange nut Tools Needed: 1. Phillips screw driver 2. 10 mm and 13 mm wrenches 3. Snap ring pliers 4. Needle nose pliers
Instructions: 1. Remove stock antenna assembly and install antenna cap a. Remove antenna by unscrewing mast b. Remove antenna nut using snap ring pliers
c. Push-‐in (or snap off) one tab holding stock antenna assembly in fender
d. As a guide, place two pieces of painters tape approximately ¼” below and to the right of the antenna mounting hole. Remove adhesive backing on fender side of antenna cap, align to hole in fender using your guide and press in place for 30 seconds. From the trunk side, install Nylon spacer and 5/16” flange nut to secure the antenna cap in place. Be careful not to over tighten.
2. Relocate antenna amplifier
e. Remove trunk liner along passenger side of trunk (13 mm bolt on some models) f. Unscrew M6x1 screw in antenna assembly (SAVE this screw as it will be used to mount antenna amplifier in new position)

g. Unplug the antenna mast assembly from the antenna amplifier
h. Position antenna amplifier in new location in trunk and secure with M6x1 screw and flange nut provided in kit. Note: This location is directly below back corner of passenger side window shelf where the antenna cable will be routed.
3. Install antenna cable i.
Route antenna cable into trunk by pushing the male Motorola connector through opening at back corner of passenger side window shelf and plug antenna cable into amplifier.

Disconnect both sides of defroster wiring connections (push in on center tab to release the connector)

k. Connect the 0.25” female spade connector end of antenna cable to the passenger’s side defroster connector. If desired, use heat gun or hair dryer to shrink the 3/8” heat shrink tubing over the spade connectors. Repeat for driver’s side. Remember to disconnect both sides of defroster wiring. NOTE: Use the Metra 44-‐UA25 window mounted antenna if you desire to keep the defroster. This part is purchased separately from a Metra distributor. l. Re-‐install trunk liner. Congratulations, you’re all done!
