Even if they are turned off or not in use • If a student begins a test and leaves campus without finishing, he or she will NOT be allowed to complete that test • Emphasis on ensuring students are not copying answers. May not extend beyond the end of the day. 6 Administration Schedule Reading (2.0) • Fall Administration October 10th-21st for CBT Reading 2.0 • FCAT Reading Retake 2.0 will be administered in two 3 hour (half day) sessions over 2 days. • Students will be assigned to one test session in TestNav which is broken in two parts by the seal codes. • A seal code will be used to “unlock” the second session 7 Administration Accommodations • Read Appendix A for comprehensive Test Accommodations • Eligible Students ƒ ESE students with current IEPs ƒ 504 students ƒ ELL (LEP) students • Accommodations should be the same or nearly the same as those provided to the student on a regular basis • Accommodation arrangements should be made in advance and must not interfere with testing of other students • Paper Based Reading Retake 2.0 Accommodations students must be monitored to make sure they do not skip into the second session. 8 TestHear and Accommodations Codes for CBT ƒ Large print, zoom, color contrast, screen reader & assistive devices for CBT students will be via TestHear software ƒ Accommodations provided (Instructions for recording accommodations are provided in the Fall 2011 Accommodations Guide) ‰ For ESE/504 students: 1-FP = Flexible Presentation; 1-FR = Flexible Responding; 1-FSC = Flexible Scheduling; 1-FSE = Flexible Setting; 1-AD = Assistive Devices ‰ For ELL students: 2-FSC = Flexible Scheduling; 2-FSE = Flexible Setting; 2-AHL = Assistance in Heritage Language; 2-ADI = Approved Dictionary 9 Test Materials For CBT Students • Calculators • Mathematics Reference Sheets (must make copies) • Mathematics Work Folder (CBT) • Authorization ticket • Pencil 10 Authorization Ticket CBT • For computer-based testing: • Student Authorization Tickets (secure materials) ƒ ƒ ƒ ƒ Session/Test/Location Student Name/Date of Birth/Student ID (partial) Student Signature Line URL/Login ID/Test Code (password) Students need a pencil or pen to sign their tickets. If the Last Name, First Name, or ID number is incorrect, the student must not use the ticket. • If the Date of Birth is the only incorrect field, the student may use the ticket and the birthdate can be updated after testing with the student database manager. • Hand out the day of testing and collect immediately11 after the close of testing • • Test Materials For Paper Students Paper • Reading SSS (1.0) Retake Test and Answer Book • #2 Pencil 12 Preidentified Student Labels Reading Retake 1.0 Paper 1. Verify the student is still enrolled in your school and is to be tested. Securely discard labels for students not to be tested. 2. Verify that the student name, student ID number, district number and school number on each label is correct. Labels without this correct information should NOT be used. 3. If any other information is incorrect, you may use the label, however make sure the correct information is updated in TERMS before the next FCAT administration. 4. Check that no required information is missing. Walk around the room to ensure students are working alone Use dividers for Computer based testing Every classroom and session must have separate Seating Charts and Required Administration Information Collect Electronic Devices before testing 25 Test Invalidations PBT Grid the DNS bubble and document if any of the following occurs: 1. The document is defective and USED 2. A student’s name, ID number, district number, OR school number is INCORRECT on a label affixed to a USED document 3. A student label has been placed over another student label on a USED document 26 Test Invalidations PBT and CBT Grid the DNS bubble or invalidate in TestNav if any of the following occurs: 4. A student is found with an electronic device during testing 5. The student is cheating or is disruptive during testing 6. A student becomes ill and is unable to finish, OR a student is not allowed the correct amount of time to finish After marking the test complete in TestNav follow the invalidation instructions on pages 92-93 in the Fall 2011 FCAT Retake CBT Administration Manual 27 Do NOT Invalidate 1. Student withdrew before testing 2. Student absent during entire testing window 3. UNUSED Test and Answer Book is defective 4. Incorrect Pre-ID Label is affixed to an UNUSED Test an Answer Book(Do NOT attempt to remove the affixed label). • Return these items with NOT TO BE SCORED materials. 28 Proctors • One additional proctor for every 30 • • • • students in a PBT room One additional proctor for every 25 students in a CBT room Serve as “Administrative Assistants” Must sign FCAT Test Administration and Security Agreement Must sign FCAT Security Log 29 Missing Materials • Initiate a thorough investigation • IMMEDIATELY contact Student Assessment & School Performance at (754) 321-4250 • Principal must generate a letter of explanation on school letterhead • Email letter to Director of Student Assessment & School Performance, cc to Area Superintendent, within 2 days 30 Test Administrator Responsibilities CBT and PBT Before Testing • Read the manual(s) where applicable (FCAT 2011 CBT and PBT Manuals and Accommodations Guide) • Attend training • Sign FCAT Test Administration and Security Agreement and Test Administrator Prohibited Activities Agreement • Prepare room for testing • Prepare test materials • Display test group code 31 Test Administrator Responsibilities CBT Before Testing • Ensure that each student taking a CBT has taken the EPAT practice test • Remind students to submit their tests but not to exit TestNav upon completion of the Computer Based Test • Ensure that the School Testing Coordinators has set up and started the testing sessions in Pearson Access. 32 32 Test Administrator Responsibilities CBT and PBT Materials Needed Before Testing • Ensure that your School Testing Coordinator has provided you with: ƒ Session Rosters/Administration Records/Security Checklists ƒ FCAT Required Seating Charts ƒ Test Group Codes CBT Only ƒ Student Authorization Tickets ƒ an option for collecting materials ƒ Mathematics Work Folders ƒ Seal Codes (session 2 of Reading 2.0 only) to 33 provide to the students Test Administrator Responsibilities CBT and PBT During Testing • Distribute materials • Read scripts VERBATIM • Maintain test security • Actively supervise the test administration 34 Test Administrator Responsibilities CBT During Testing• Ensure that no student is looking at another student’ s computer monitor or using the computer to assist in the assessment • Note the accommodations provided on the Required Administration Information • If a student logs out for any reason (lunch, break, etc...) a staff member must resume their session in Pearson Access. 35 35 Cannot Login to TestNav Prior to testing: ƒ Ensure that the appropriate link, username and password has been indicated in TestNav per the Student Authorization Ticket ƒ If you receive an Early Warning System (EWS) message, follow the prompts to resolve that issue. During testing: ƒ If a student is kicked out or logs out of a test at any time a staff member must resume their session in Pearson Access. The student may resume testing at any work station that has TestNav installed on it. 36 36 Test Administrator Responsibilities CBT and PBT After Testing • Collect test materials • Notify School Testing Coordinator of any missing materials • Check DNS & UNDO bubbles • Remove/Collect Reference Sheets, Math Work Folders and Authorization Tickets • Complete FCAT Security Log, FCAT Administration Record / Security Checklist and FCAT Required Seating Chart • Group materials using cover sheets and return all materials to School Testing Coordinator • Complete Comment Form 37 School Assessment Coordinator Responsibilities CBT and PBT Before Testing • Read the manuals (CBT, PBT and Accommodations Guide) & view training • Sign the FCAT Test Administration and Security Agreement • Receive & inventory test materials ƒ Email [email protected] for additional materials ƒ Prepare Admin Records/Security Checklists and FCAT Required Seating Charts • Track Security Numbers • Assign and train Test Administrators & Proctors • Ensure implementation of Administration Accommodations 38 School Assessment Coordinator Setting Up TestNav Before Testing • Pre-id information has been uploaded to your Pearson Access accounts • Specific instructions for assigning students, creating sessions and Authorization tickets are located in the Fall 2011 CBT Manual • Pearson has posted a detailed training here: http://flassessments.com/training • Make sure the Last Name, First Name and SID is correct. 39 Test Administrator Responsibilities CBT and PBT During Testing • Supervise test administration • Maintain test security • Ensure FCAT Security Log and FCAT Administration Record / Security Checklists and FCAT Required Seating Chart are completed properly • Supervise make-up administrations • Monitor and resume CBT sessions 40 School Assessment Coordinator Responsibilities After Testing • Collect test materials • Notify Student Assessment & School Performance of any missing materials • Separate test materials as directed • Check DNS & UNDO bubbles • Complete, Copy, and File FCAT Security Logs, FCAT Administration Record / Security Checklists and FCAT Required Seating Chart • Hold Authorization Tickets, Reference Sheets and Work Folders until after scores are released. • Check Comment Forms 41 School Assessment Coordinator Responsibilities After CBT Testing • Move or mark complete those students who did not show • Close out sessions and/or arrange for makeup testing within TestNav • Note Accommodations in TestNav • Detailed instructions for completing these activities in the Fall 2011 CBT Manual and Accommodations Guide 42 Packing of To Be Scored and Not To Be Scored Materials • Complete a Retake Document Count Form for each • • • • • grade level Complete Paper Bands Package TO BE SCORED Test and Answer Books Prepare NOT TO BE SCORED materials Follow special instructions for return of Large Print and Braille Materials Put the original FCAT Security Logs, FCAT Administration Record / Security Checklists and FCAT Required Seating Chart in the District Coordinator Only box. Retain copies at your school.
