From January 1st all units will be processed with this new version. Please remark: It is absolutely necessary that the old dvf file not is opened in this new version, because it can make changes to the selection. If changes are needed you can let us help you. New values in Default values tab Now you can set the leaving air temperature for a pre heating coil. You can set a maximum SFP value and a minimum heat recovery efficiency. These warnings will show when the unit is calculated as shown below. 18-03-2013 Page 2 1.2. Alternative working points With this new version you can now calculate the unit in 10 different working points. You select this in the Unit data tab as below. And you will get the picture shown below. Select either airflow or percentage of dimensioning airflow. If nothing is written in External pressure or Temperature, the default selected values will be considered. Please notice that dimensioning working point is the highest values you can use as working point. 18-03-2013 Page 3 When units have been calculated you can at the Result tab press the button Alternative working points and get this picture. Here you can see the warnings for SFP and heat exchanger efficiency marked with red if exceeded. 1.3. Calculate all units If you have a lot of units in the same dvf file you will now be able to calculate all the units with one button. You just have to keep in mind that if you press this button when being at the Result tab you will only calculate the unit selected. Select this when being at the drawing tab. 18-03-2013 Page 4 1.4. New classification of filters According to a new standard the classifications of filters will be with new names. You will have G-filter as a rough filter, M-filter as medium filter and F-filter as fine filter. The G-filters will be as you know them already G1 to G4. The M-filters are the new name and will replace F5 and F6 as M5 and M6. The F-filter will also be as we know it but only for F7, F8 and F9. 1.5. Specification of types of air According to EN 13779 we shall use specific colours to mark the specific type of air coming through the unit. So now you will see that we have 4 different colours depending on the type of air we are dealing with. Outdoor air is marked with Green Supply air is marked with Blue Extract air is marked with Yellow Exhaust air is marked with Brown 2. Topvex 2.1. Flowchart for softcooler Now the flowchart is shown with the softcooler. 18-03-2013 Page 5 2.2. Softcooler calculation updated The softcooler can now be calculated with heat recovery calculated in summer. On the printout of the softcooler “Max absorbed power” is now added. 2.3. Valve sizes added With this new version there are added three new sizes of HW valves. The sizes are 0.25, 0.6 and 8.0. 2.4. SFP value The SFP value shown for Topvex is now only for “clean filter pressure drop”. 18-03-2013 Page 6 3. DVCompact 3.1. Change over coils It is possible to select and calculate change over coils. 3.2. Selection of valves It is now possible to select valves for heating and cooling coils in the "control system". The program automatically selects the valves from given input and Item numbers are printed. 18-03-2013 Page 7 3.3. Item numbers New Item numbers are added and the list is nearly complete for all standard units and accessories. 4. DV units 4.1. Pressure outlet tabs In the fan and filter sections it is now possible to select pressure outlet tabs. 18-03-2013 Page 8 4.2. Move control system box In the situations where it is possible to place the control system box more than one place, it is now possible to move it. 4.3. New control system dialog for DV and TIME units + new control options for DV units When you open the new dialog for DV and TIME units, you will see that the tabs at the top is gone and there are only very few options. This is to make the selection simple. If you need more options you just press Show advanced options. 18-03-2013 Page 9 The visible options are only there if you have selected something in the unit that can activate the control system options. In other words, you cannot select anything in the control system that is not possible to make. Always start selecting from the top and go down otherwise it can go wrong with the first selections you have made. New things in the dialog: - New options in external communication New options in temperature control New options in fan control Sensors will appear if possible to select A new chapter for recirculation with modulating mixing possible Selection of external control via digital input Selection of how free cooling should be controlled Please remark that the filter guards are no more an option to select because it is always added as standard. 18-03-2013 Page 10 4.4. Control system for supply units Our supply units can also be selected with control system in this new version. 4.5. DV 190 and 240 with control system Now you can also select our biggest units with control system and the control system box is always placed outside the unit. 18-03-2013 Page 11 4.6. Flowchart – wiring diagram With the implementation of 2 Corrigo E28 in our control system for DV units we have all these new possibilities that you have seen on the above. This will also give us another advantage, which is having only one standard wiring diagram as we know it from the TIME units. With this new version you will have to use the standard wiring diagram + the order confirmation to see how the things are connected by looking at the list under the flowchart. 18-03-2013 Page 12 4.7. Preheater Our new control system can now control a pre heating coil. This is for double deck units and supply units. You can have all variations in type of coils. Electric heating coil + control system From this version you will also see that you don’t have to select the heating coil to be controlled by our control system. Whenever you have a unit with control system, SystemairCAD will select an electric heating coil with control system for you. Please remark that an electric heating coil without control system is 300 mm and the electric coil with control system is 450 mm. Without control system 18-03-2013 With control system Page 13 4.9. DVP mixing section (on/off – modulating) With this new SystemairCAD you can now get a calculation with a selected mixing situation. When unit is with control system, SystemairCAD will give you a warning if it isn’t possible to calculate. On/off mixing always have to be 0% or 100% Modulating mixing can be selected between 0% and 100% both included. In a unit with mixing section, the dampers will have two functions depending on where they are installed in the unit. They will either work as an isolating damper or a mixing damper. See examples below here. If all three dampers are present in the mixing section, then all other dampers in the unit will work as isolating dampers. Isolating Isolating Isolating Isolating 18-03-2013 Page 14 When having a mixing section in the unit and you want to calculate the mixing point you always need to have a minimum of one mixing damper in both airflows. The mixing dampers have to be placed on the outside of the mixing section if not placed in the mixing section. “Outside” is towards the fresh air inlet / outlet Mixing Mixing Dampers placed on the inside of the mixing section are always an isolating damper. “Inside” is towards the building Isolating Isolating With this new option you also have to be aware of how you place the fans when having control system. On/off mixing there are no requirements to the placement of the fans. Modulating mixing the fans always has to be placed on the inside of the mixing section. 18-03-2013 Page 15 Warranty conditions for DV and TIME Standard warranty: We deliver according to Orgalime S2000, which includes 1 year warranty. Extended warranty: Provided Systemair´s recommended maintenance and service program is followed and documented, an extended warranty of up to 4 years is granted: • Unit casing (panel, frames and corners) • • Control elements (electrical elements) Heat exchangers, motors, coils and dampers 4 year anti-perforation corrosion warranty 2 year 2 year General conditions: • Systemair´s recommended maintenance and service program is followed and documented. • Extended warranty only includes delivery of spare parts, but not installation costs. Start of warranty period is time of delivery given on the order confirmation. 18-03-2013 Page 16 Web updating of SystemairCAD The update of SystemairCAD is possibly to do just like other programs. This means that you don’t have to uninstall and install the program every time we send out new versions. If we have made an update of the program you will see the dialog box below. When you click Yes (Danish “Ja”) the program is automatically updated and ready to use with the new feature. As a new thing, you have to choose your market location when you install this update. With the next update, this will not be necessary. The only thing we don´t make as web update is price changes This will always be made via an informational E-mail with a new price database attached. 18-03-2013 Page 17 Info to Windows 7 users If you have windows 7 installed on your computer and you don’t have the full rights of the computer, you might have problems with using the pdf printout. Then you have to press the options tab and then select folders. This box will appear and now you press this button. Then you select your personal folder and documents in your personal folder. Finally you should get a result that looks a little like this. 18-03-2013 Page 18 When you are using Windows 7, you might find out that it can be difficult to update SystemairCAD if you don’t have the administrator rights of your computer. If this occurs you can try to open and run the program as administrator. You need to right click on the Systemair logo and then choose run as an administrator – that should do the job and let you update the programme. 18-03-2013 Page 19 How to install SystemairCAD SystemairCAD is available in 2 versions, one for distributors and one for consultants. Distributor version with prices The version for distributors includes prices and is available for distributors on www.systemairCAD.dk where a user name and password is needed to access the zip-file for download. The user name and password to access the program is issued earlier for all current distributors. If for some reason you have forgotten the password, you can contact Systemair Denmark. After login, the following screen will appear and you should click download to save the zip-file on your computer. NOTE: If pop-up window does not appear when you click download, hold down the ctrl button on your keyboard while clicking download. This will overwrite the build in command to not allow pop-up windows. 18-03-2013 Page 20 When you have downloaded the zip-file, unzip the downloaded zip-file and install the program. 18-03-2013 Page 21 IMPORTANT: If you want to save your customer database, you should copy it from your current SystemairCAD folder before installing the new version. The file is named DnCust.db and can be found here: C:/program files/systemair/systemaircad or C:/programs/Systemair/systemaircad depending on your local setup: After installation of new version, you can place the file in the same folder and overwrite the empty customer database installed with the new version. 18-03-2013 Page 22 Consultant version without price The consultant version without price, is available on www.systemair.com, Systemair products, Download, Software tools and SystemairCAD.
