2014 KX65 KX65 - Champions Start Here
The starting point for many Supercross and Motocross champions, the 2014 Kawasaki KX65 is the perfect breeding ground for aspiring young riders. With a liquid-cooled, high-performance two-stroke engine, full-race chassis, long-travel suspension and powerful disc brakes, the smallest KX model offers race-ready performance combined with the well-rounded usability necessary for young riders to learn race-craft and hone their skills.

Front and Rear Disc Brakes
The heart of the littlest KX is its punchy, 64.7 cm³ liquid cooled 2-stroke powerplant. The race-tuned engine, featuring a digital ignition and low-friction Electrofusion coated cylinder, produces a broad range of strong, usable power.
A high-performance engine needs high-performance stopping power and the KX65?s mighty front and rear disc brakes deliver powerful braking performance and high resistance to fade. A re-designed front brake lever now also offers even better feel.
Bottom-Link UNI-TRAK® Rear Suspension
Black Aluminum Rims
The KX65?s UNI-TRAK® rear suspension system features a rising-rate action that increases the damping strength as the suspension compresses. The nitrogen-charged shock offers 4-way rebound damping adjustability.
Aluminum rims reduce unsprung weight and their strength adds durability. The 2013 KX65 receives black aluminium rims just like the larger KX models.
33mm Conventional Fork
24mm Mikuni Carburetor
Front fork springs and damping settings reduce bottoming for more aggressive riding. The large 33 mm inner tubes assure rigidity for great handling on rough courses.
Feeds a 4-petal reed valve for excellent throttle response. Helps the engine to produce good power and torque at all rpm.
The 2013 KX65 also receives blue forks caps just like the other KX models from 2013 MY.
Liquid Cooling
Digital Capacitor Discharge Ignition (CDI)
The KX?s large, single radiator maintains even engine-running temperatures for optimum horsepower output and greater engine life and durability. The system is extremely low maintenance and highly reliable.
Digital ECU precisely controls timing, no matter how fast the rpm changes. Special ignition coil produces hot spark to enhance acceleration.
6-Speed Transmission The KX?s smooth-shifting six-speed transmission offers a positive shifting action along with rugged durability thanks to hard chromed shift forks. The clutch is operated manually by hand for maximum control and performance.
Multi-Plate Clutch The clutch actuation arm rides in needle bearings for smooth action. The clutch basket and hub ride on involute splines and are fastened with a circlip instead of a bolt to ease servicing. The steel clutch plates have a special surface treatment to improve the feel.
High Tensile Steel Semi-Double Cradle Frame The high-tensile steel frame is constructed from the same strong, lightweight, high-tech materials as the bigger KX Motocross bikes to offer exceptional torsional rigidity for superior handling.
Fuel Tank Cap Check Valve
The fuel tank cap vent hose has a check valve to reduce the possibility of fuel seepage.
Electrofusion Cylinder Electrofusion coating on the aluminum cylinder walls improves heat transfer for consistent power output. It allows closer piston-to-cylinder clearances for more power and provides excellent wear and seizure resistance.
Optional Parts Optional parts available include 0.37 mm carbon fibre reed petals, various carburettor jets, front and rear springs and sprockets.
