WELCOME
When was the last time you were truly excited about something happening within your business? Maybe it was a project you had on the horizon, a new product line you took on, or a new customer with a ton of potential. Whatever it was, I hope you encounter this type of excitement at least once every few months as it helps keep you motivated, engaged and hungry for the next big opportunity. The team at Staub has many exciting times throughout the year, however none quite compare to remote start season. It requires a huge amount of preparation, always results in a number of new projects, and creates a high level of anticipation and enthusiasm that can be felt throughout the office. This year is no exception, and the work our team has put in to ensure we are ready to support you this winter has never been greater. A few new initiatives and items you can expect from us are:

This category is experiencing huge growth but until now has lacked an installed solution from a recognized industry brand. Compustar Dash will provide dealers with an in - store pop display to generate consumer interest, and a quality product to help differentiate from the grab - and - go DIY solutions that lack profit and labour. See page 20 and 21 for more details. Although the 12-Volt industry has its challenges, remote start is one of the few categories that has showed continual growth over the last five years. If you are serious about the business, being well prepared is critical to maximizing your opportunities this winter. As the saying goes, make hay while the sun shines!

The new Firstech 7-Series Controllers give you one remote start and one combo solution for all of your customers’ needs - whether it’s manual-transmission, diesel engine, low current or high current. 30% smaller than the FT-6 series, the 7-Series controllers have two RS2332 ports that support DroneMobile, ADS and Fortin solutions. Additional features include two separate harnesses for both high and low current vehicles and built-in three high-current relays for accessing 2nd accessory, 2nd ignition and 2nd starter.

Not only can you remote start your Mercedes from your factory key fob, but you also maintain the factory warranty and integrity as all factory features are retained. In order to flash your iDatalink product with your Apple device, the Weblink Mobile app has been created to work in conjunction with the ADS-WLM-AP1 adapter cable. The Weblink Mobile app is free of charge and immediately available for download on the Apple Store and Google Play (by Fall 2014). The Weblink Mobile app lets Authorized Installers program iDatalink, iDataStart, CompuStar and other devices, via their iPhone or iPad device and works in conjunction with the Weblink Mobile adapter cable (ADS-WLMAPL). The self-learning algorithm automatically detects the vehicle during programming and adjusts accordingly.
The EVO-RIDE is an high encrypted key immobilizer bypass module that is functional with all 40-bit and 80-bit Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Jaguar, Mazda, Toyota, Lexus and Scion vehicles - over 1200 vehicles in one firmware. The self-learning module is preloaded with all-in-one firmware and no key is required for operation.

The Flash Link Updater 2 allows you to update the firmware on your Fortin bypass modules and remote-starters in a matter of seconds. The Updater will work with modules that have bar codes stamped on the label. FT-EZGO automatically unlocks and disarms your vehicle’s alarm when you enter the 5’ radius of the EZ-GO antenna. It uses radio (RF-ID) to identify when you are within the antenna’s range. Operates with a Firstech compatible alarm, remote start, alarm and remote start combo and Drone DR-2000.
The FT-DAS gives you 3 different sensors in one. Along with a dual stage shock sensor, the FT-DAS includes tilt and G-force sensors, which shut down the vehicle when it senses movement and notifies you on your 2-way remote. A perfect solution for installing onto manual transmission vehicles.
With the FT-RPS-TOUCH mounted on your windshield, you can arm your Compustar alarm simply by pressing the red button on the RPS-TOUCH. A 4-digit code is all you need to disarm your alarm and unlock your doors. The FT-RPSTOUCH also doubles as a 2-way remote pager.
The 2WFM-AS/S is designed to protect your vehicle form unwanted impact. It will provide either a warn away or full alarm trigger depending on severity of impact. The sensitivity level is adjustable. The Shock Sensor is included with all Compustar alarm and alarm/ starter combo units.
This harness is used to switch the lock and unlock outputs on the CM3 and CM4 series control modules. The harness provides a 600 mA positive 12V+ on the lock and unlock wires. The DM600 plugs directly into the current lock harness on the CM3 and CM4 series.

Battery Backup Siren
The FT-D100 Decoder is a translator that allows Firstech radio frequency kits (RF) to communicate with the iDataLink ADS-AL-CA Universal Transponder/Doorlock Interface using Remote Start firmware (RS) from ADS. This means that you can extend the range, lock, unlock, auto start and stop capable vehicles with just a bypass module.
VPS-PRO will respond to a double knock that pages the 2-way remote and lets the user know someone is trying to reach them at their vehicle. The VPS-PRO also includes a knock unlock feature. You can program a 4-digit knock unlock that can disarm your system without a remote and key. Compatible with all Pro 2-way alarm and alarm/starter units.
VALET-PRO gives you the ability to enter a 2-digit code to put your system into valet mode. A blue LED flashes while the system is armed. Compatible with all Pro 2-way alarm, starter and alarm/starter units.
The Option Programmer is used to program Dealer Only options on the CompuStar and CompuStar Pro Series. It comes with all the equipment needed to update your CM4 Series CompuStar Pro control modules. This can also be used to program other systems from Firstech.
A battery backup siren provides additional protection for your vehicle. If the power is cut to the main system, the battery on the siren takes over until power is lost or the key is turned. The siren has both negative and positive siren triggers.

While you are driving, if DASH detects that you are in an accident, it will store footage from before and after the collision as a special event. This prevents the footage from being over- written even when the SD card runs out of space. Events can also be stored while parked if either of the cameras detects motion or impact while you are away from your vehicle.
