In 2011, Rapoo was listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. In this year Rapoo was also the first to launch products that utilize the 5 GHz frequency band, ensuring a more stable connection while saving energy at the same time.

In 2012, Rapoo opened one of Asia’s most modern factories covering 80,000m2. The largely fully automated production process doesn’t just set technical and quality benchmarks; it also enables production in an exceptionally sustainable and environmentally-friendly way. In 2013, Rapoo launched its range of Bluetooth audio products.

Sustainable & Green Heat produced by the machinery is captured and used for heating the personnel shower facilities. Solar panels generate electricity and excess energy is stored for later use. Waste water from the production process is captured, filtered and re-used for watering the grounds surrounding the buildings. LED lights save energy and the entire head office is paperless.
Fair & Forward-Thinking The most fundamental production factor for Rapoo are the employees themselves. State-of-the-art production demands a highly skilled, trained and motivated workforce. Headsets Market research conducted in February 2014 revealed that when it comes to portable music players smartphones and tablets have replaced the MP3 player which dominated the scene until recently. aptX™ audio enhancement aptX™ technology offers lossless audio transmission via Bluetooth, by compressing/ decompressing the signal, instead of the lossy decoding/ re-encoding process used in the A2DP standard.
Radiation Airflow Invert Technology Radiation Airflow Invert Technology uses the backward pressure energy of the active speaker and runs it through passive speakers, inverts it and superimposes the sound pressure of the previous phase, thus enhancing the lower frequencies to deliver a richer and more powerful bass.
Guided Acoustic Wave Technology Guided Acoustic Wave Technology (GAW) increases the resonating surface area of the speaker, enabling rich and warm sound while keeping the diameter of the speaker small.

Near Field Communication (NFC) NFC stands for Near Field Communication. It is a set of standards to establish communication between devices by (nearly) touching. Our Bluetooth speakers with NFC prevent pairing headaches. Just touch the speaker’s NFC zone with your NFC enabled device and the devices are paired. Even when Bluetooth on your device is turned off! Quick and easy.
Multipoint Connection Multipoint Connection is a feature of the Bluetooth standard (Version 2.0 and higher) that enables more than one Bluetooth device – for example a smartphone or tablet – to be paired with another Bluetooth device – for example a speaker or headphone – at the same time. 53

Surface
Optical Sensors Optical mice work by using an optoelectronic sensor (essentially, a tiny video camera) to take successive images of the surface on which the mouse operates, to track the movement, and translate it to the screen.
Scissor Keys Scissor keys are attached to the keyboard via two plastic pieces that interlock in a “scissor”-like fashion, and snap to the keyboard and the key. They have a lower profile and a shorter travel time than standard rubberdome keys. They are also very quiet and easy to operate.
A2DP A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) is a Bluetooth profile that enables the wireless transmission of audio data from one device to another, for example from a smartphone or tablet to a speaker or headset.
4D Scroll Wheel Compared to standard scroll wheel that only feature 2 directions (up and down) for scrolling, a 4D scroll wheel can also be tilted horizontally. This way, the user is able to scroll in two additional directions, thus making navigating websites or large documents significantly easier. 54
Mechanical Keys Mechanical keyboards use individual mechanical switches underneath every key. This offers a longer lifetime, a more consistent typing expericence and also a better sense of accuracy due to the tactile and aural response while typing.

Laser Sensor Laser sensors utilize infrared laser diodes (VCSEL) to track the surface benath the sensor. They offer an increased performance on reflective surfaces like polished wood, metal or glass.
Lithium-ion Batteries Lithium-ion Batteries are rechargeable batteries that are mostly based on lithium cobalt oxide. Since Li-ion batteries contain no toxic metals, unlike other types of batteries which may contain lead or cadmium, they can be recycled more easily and efficiently.
Induction Charging Induction Charging uses an electromagnetic field to transfer energy between the charging station and the device to be charged. This is not only convenient, but also prevents physical wear or corrosion of the couplings. Also it keeps you from loosing charging cables. 55

Die erste Auswertung zur Rapoo-Tastatur brachte durchweg erfreuliche Ergebnisse für den Hersteller. Nach der Verarbeitung gefragt, vergaben 93% unserer Tester die Schulnoten „gut“ oder „sehr gut“, sogar noch etwas besser wurde der „Gesamteindruck“ bewertet. Das integrierte Touchpad finden einige Tester „ungewohnt“, allerdings berichten die meisten von einer „intuitiven Bedienung“, die man sich schnell aneignen kann. Ein Leser schreibt: „Das Touchpad ist am Anfang gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber sobald man etwas damit arbeitet, ist es auf jeden Fall hilfreich und es macht wirklich Spaß“. Ein anderer möchte „die vorprogrammierten Funktionen und die Vorteile dadurch nicht mehr missen“. Für einen Tester bedeutet das Touchpad gegenüber der Maus-Bedienung „einen Verlust an Präzision bei der Cursorführung“, doch wird dieser „aufgewogen durch die ergonomisch angenehme Handhaltung, die Haltungsschmerzen vermeidet“.
