The 9-in suspension travel increases trail comfort and capabilities in rough terrain and five-way preload adjustable shocks can help riders add more or less spring resistance for riding conditions and various chores. Trailing Torsional Independent (TTI) rear suspension The industry’s only independent rear suspension designed to allow the rear wheels to pivot up and down in a vertical line rather than a more cumbersome butterfly motion. The rear suspension is also strategically designed to offer point-and-shoot handling, optimal traction and efficient transferring of power to the ground. Offering a five-way preload adjustable shocks and 8.8 inches of suspension travel, the Outlander L can soak up rough terrain while keeping the rider comfortable and focused on the trail. Visco-Lok auto-locking front differential The Can-Am Visco-Lok system is one of the most consumer friendly designs on the market, as the progressively and automatically locking front differential system requires no additional buttons to push or levers to hold. Once 4x4 is selected, the system intelligently transfers power from the slipping front wheel to the opposing wheel with traction and is not hampered by a speed or rev limiters. 214mm disc brakes Large 214-mm disc brakes, front and rear, have hydraulic twin-piston calipers for superior stopping power. 12-inch steel wheels / 25-inch (66cm) tires Wrapped in 25-inch. Carlisle Trail Wolf Tires, the 12-inch steel wheels on the Outlander L provide rugged performance in tough terrain and changing conditions. A bigger tire design helps you easily overcome obstacles as you ride. 10.5-inCH ground clearance A whopping 10.5-inches of ground clearance gives the Outlander L exceptional capabilities in challenging terrain. » RIDER-FOCUSED DESIGN 5-year extended warranty Our BRP Extended Service Terms (B.E.S.T.) warranty program gives you peace of mind because your vehicle is backed by an industry-leading 5-year extended warranty. DPC ergonomics means comfortable seating, cushioned ride and placing the passenger in an optimal riding position. The Outlander L MAX models receive the redesign passenger seat. The new lighter design allows for more gradual bending of the backrest and is easier to install / remove (even when the rear rack is loaded). It also includes a new lock with a latch to reduce vibration. The tall backrest is very supportive and also pivots to help reduce kick back to passenger during acceleration and climbs. Can-Am engineers also added regressive flex to the top and sides to enhance comfort levels. The seat is also angled and formed to provide better “groove,” more overall support and minimize passenger movement in off-road conditions. Passenger handholds The angled rear passenger handle position allows for flex while riding and also reduces the overall impact to the passenger’s hands. The handles also allow for numerous hand positions to enhance the passenger’s riding experience and comfort level. For one-up use, the rear seat has integrated handles that don’t limit rear rack space or prohibit single-rider comfort. Passenger footrest All MAX models with the G2 SST frame have foot peg angles and depth that cater to the rear passenger. The footrests also have a third row of foot grips to improve lateral grip. Convertible Rack System (CRS) The Outlander MAX ATV comes with a Convertible Rack System (CRS) for transforming the ATV into a single-rider machine. The transition literally takes just seconds and eliminates the touring look and feel when riding alone. The fact that the passenger handholds are attached to the seat means they don’t inhibit rider movement or take up rear rack space. An optional storage box is available. Steel racks with LinQ quick-attach accessory system The Outlander L models have front and rear steel racks with a 360-pound (163 kg) combined rack capacity. Front: 120 lb (54 kg) / Rear: 240 lb (109 kg).
