2015 TREND PICKS 1. TWO-TONE WITH WOOD GRAINS Larger kitchens with islands are natural fits for two-tone kitchen cabinets, as the size of the room allows for more visual activity. This year, we’re already seeing clients explore a combination of contrasting light coloured benchtops with wood grain textured and colour-blocked cabinetry.

INTEGRATED & CONCEALED APPLIANCES Helping to achieve a furniture-style look in your kitchen, integrated and concealed appliances can be especially important when you have an open floor plan and you can see your kitchen from other rooms of your home. 3. OPEN SHELVING Normally trademarked for country style kitchens, open shelving is making it’s way into many other kitchen styles, often combining with closed upper cabinets. Finding the balance between the two is key, and will enable you to display the right amount of those special kitchen treasures. 4. TILE SPLASHBACK With a variety of shapes, colours and sizes to choose from to suit any kitchen design, you can make a statement in your kitchen - with a bold geometric pattern, a classic subway tile or moroccan inspired flavour - the choices are endless and are a great option to suit any budget. 5. MONOCHROME A black and white kitchen works well for both traditional and modern styles.
