PA District 28 and Kennett Square KAU Little League are pleased to host the 2017 Pennsylvania Section 7 Senior Boys International Tournament. The games will be played from July 5 th, 2017 through July 8th at KAU NVF Senior Field. The following facilities are available: Snack Bar, Port-o-Potty, and Spectator Areas.

PA SECTION 7 TOURNAMENT RULES AND PROCEDURES HIGHLIGHTS “GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP IS THE HALLMARK OF ALL SUCCESSFUL LITTLE LEAGUE TOURNAMENTS” 1. The Tournament Rules and Regulations as published by Little League Baseball shall be binding, abided by and strictly enforced. 2. All teams will submit their eligibility affidavits to the Tournament Director prior to each game. These affidavits must be verified immediately (and signed) after each game and returned to the respective teams. 3. Each manager is encouraged to have, in his or her possession, a medical release signed by the parent/legal guardian for each player listed on the eligibility affidavits. 4. Players, manager, and coaches that become involved in any misconduct, on or off the field, or at their lodging, may be dismissed from the tournament. The activity and person will be reported to the Little League Headquarters Tournament Committee, the parent league District Administrator and the League President. 5. The team manager is responsible for uniforms and equipment. All players must be in uniform, with the Little League approved patch. 6. Only Manager, Coaches, and Players listed on the official tournament eligibility affidavit are permitted in the dugout or playing field. 7. All batting helmets must be NOCSAE approved with the warning labels. 8. Catchers must wear a mask with approved helmet (skullcap type not permitted) and throat guard. 10. No Jewelry will be allowed on the playing field regardless of the material. This includes earrings, necklaces, rings, and watches. Medical alert items ARE PERMITTED. 11. Helmets are required by all player base coaches. 12. Tobacco/Tobacco products shall not be allowed in the dugouts or playing field. 13. Each team must provide 3 Tournament Game balls – KAU will supply additional balls if needed. 14. A short infield/outfield warm-up may be allowed on the game field prior to the game if conditions permit. This warm-up may or may not be on the game field. 15. Home Team Selection: The game field is neutral for each game. A coin-flip will determine home/visiting teams. One hour prior to game time, or as soon as both team managers and tournament site coordinator are present they will meet for the coin toss. The team traveling the longest distance will call the coin-flip, and have their selection of home or visitor.
16. The visiting team may take the field for 15 minutes, 45 minutes prior to the start of the game. The home team may take the field for 15 minutes, 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start of the game. The final 15 minutes will be allowed for final field preparation. 17. In the event the host site has batting cages. The home team may use the batting cage for 15 minutes, 45 minutes prior to the game, while the visiting team has the field. The visiting team may use the batting cage for 15 minutes, 30 minutes prior to the game, while the home team has the field. 18. This warm up may be shortened or forfeited as determined by the tournament coordinator, where concerns for adequate time (these concerns caused by delay) warrant adjustment to the warm up pattern. 19. Fifteen minutes prior to the game start, managers, coaches, umpires and the game director will meet at home plate to review the ground rules and answer any pre-game questions. 20. Dugout Assignment: The schedules distributed show two teams for each game. The team traveling the least will occupy the Third Base Dugout. The team traveling the farthest will occupy the First Base Dugout. 21. Both teams will line-up as directed by the tournament director when introduced and remain there for the National Anthem, the Little League Pledge. 22. Both teams will meet at the home plate area immediately at the conclusion of the game and shake hands. 23. At the conclusion of the tournament, the Section 7 Winning Team will be awarded a championship banner.

KAU LL NVF Senior Field Directions from the North or East From Rt. 202, take Rt. 1 South past Longwood Gardens and the Longwood Village Shops. Just after you pass Wendy’s, the Hilton Gardens Hotel and Wal-Mart, do NOT take the Kennett Square exit, but continue on Rt. 1 South as it becomes a four-lane divided highway. The next exit will be “Rt. 82 Unionville/Kennett Square”. Exit here and turn left at the top of the exit ramp onto N. Union Street, cross back over Rt. 1, continue south on Union St. (Rt. 82) through the center of Kennett Square and continue south until you see the Kennett High School ahead on your left. Just before reaching the High School, turn right onto South Street at the light (by the Landhope Farms convenience store). Continue on South St. past Center St, past Harvey Circle (twice) until the road jogs to the left. Just before the road jogs to the left, turn right into an alley (Robinson’s Way) that leads to the field.
Directions from West and South Take Rt. 1 North to the exit marked Rt. 82 Kennett Square/Unionville. Turn right at the top of the exit ramp onto N. Union Street, continue south on Union St. (Rt. 82) through the center of Kennett Square and continue south until you see the Kennett High School ahead on your left. Just before reaching the High School, turn right onto South Street at the light (by the Landhope Farms convenience store). Continue on South St. past Center St, past Harvey Circle (twice) until the road jogs to the left. Just before the road jogs to the left, turn right into an alley (Robinson’s Way) that leads to the field.
