Overview FE-6490SC/ST/SC.S are the credit-cardsize fiber Optic Fast Ethernet Card for PCMICA Compliant (TypeII) notebook computers. They conform to IEEE802.3u 100Base-FX,PCMCIA Release 2.x and JEIDA 4.x standards. The software configurable design makes the installation simple and easy. FE-6490SC/ST/SC.S also support the PCMCIA Card Information Structure (CIS), including socket and card services via a direct enabler program. By using surface mount technology and dangle-less media coupler design, FE-6490SC/ST/SC.S have very low power consumption with reliable performance. There are several models for different types of fiber converters, ST,SC, multi-mode and single-mode. The maximum fiber optic cable distance can be up to 2km for multimode and 20,40 and 60km for single-mode fiber. Diagnostic LED are easily visible for maintenance purpose.
