The machine operators will easily learn how to Operate the machine and understand its mechanical functions by following the directions and absorbing the information in the Owration section. This machine will give exc'ellent service and sweeping resits, and save maintenance expenses. However, as with all specially engineered mechanical equipment, best results are obtained at minimum costs if: The machine is operated with reasonable care and The machine is maintained regularly per the maintenance instructions prov~ded. Locate a l l safety devices on the machine. Then, take necessary steps to tmin machine operating personnel. Report machine damage or faulty operation immediately. AWARNING Keep cigarettes, sparks and open flame oway from fuel tank. Refuel i n designated areas only. Do not fill fuel tank with engine running. Make sure fuel container and machine are electrically connected when refueling. Do not overfill LP tank. Check for odor of escaping gas before and during starting LPG engines. AWARNING Provide adequate ventilation system to properly expel discharged gases. Check exhaust system regularly for leaks. Carbon Monoxide i s dangerous. AWARNING Keep cigarettes, sparks and open flame away from lead acid batteries. Batteries emit a highly explosive hydrogen gas. A a m O N Avoid moving parts of the unit. Lwse jackets, shirts or sleeves should not be permitted when working on machine because of the danger of becoming caught i n m w i n g park. Keep shields and guards i n position. If adjustments must be made while the unit i s running, use caution around hot maiiifalds, moving parts, V-belts, etc. AWARNING Lock hopper i n "UP" position, udng Sofety Lock, before changing brushes or working under hopper. See instructions on lock. ACAUTlON Disconnect battery terminal before servicing electrical components. A a m O N Check brakes and steering control for proper operation. Do not start machine unless you are i n driver's seat, with foot on brake pedal, o r parking brake engaged, ond directional pedal i n neutral. Stop engine and set parking brake before leaving machine. ACAUTlON This machine i s steered b y means of the rear wheel, and i s very reBecome familiar with this type of steering system. Boils and cap screws requlred to have hlgh-strength qualities equivalent to SAE Grade 8 are identifled throughout this catalog by the description GR 8 . Unless identiiied by this desc;iption, ail standard bolts and screws are SAE Grade 5. 2. Give the part number, description, and thequantity needed of each item on the order.
