2D handheld scanner with imaging technology
The 2D handheld scanner EL71 DS4308 with imaging technology is suitable by its multifunctional usage in department stores, gas stations, drug stores, pharmacies, DIY stores and other retail outlets. The used imaging technology provides superior performance in terms of the omnidirectional detection and decoding of linear, 2D and GS1 Databar™ labels. The image capture and the large scanning area of the EL71 support the intuitive and fast recognition of barcodes without special alignment of barcode labels by the user. Especially in retail installations, the operator at Point Of Sale can capture every barcode label faster than ever before, whether it is a barcode on a smartphone, tablet, computer, or printed on a carton
box - and this even with barcode labels that are damaged by scratches and dirt. The 2D handheld scanner EL71 DS4308 opens up new opportunities for retail applications e.g. mobile couponing, mobile ticketing. The imaging technology works in different ambient lighting alike and enables intuitive barcode reading without further activity by the user. Retailers can now also serve customers which store their electronic coupons, gift and loyalty cards and more on mobile devices. The recognition of barcode labels from mobile phones and tablets also allows the usage in theaters, theme parks and stadiums, where electronic tickets are used.
The EL71 is directly powered by the power supply interface of the BEETLE system. Investment protection is offered by the multiple interface of 2D Image handheld scanner, which requires only a simple change of the interface cable when changing the interface connection in the future. The lightweight, ergonomic design of the EL71 DS4308 provides ergonomic benefits that require operator for several hours intensive scanning. An additional, important advantage of imaging technology is the long life of the product, which ensures low running costs.
