We recommend that you hire a worker with considerable experience to install the lock, and drill holes, chisel bearing nest and holes for striking plate and lock holder case according to sample plate of hole pattern in the product appendix. Be sure to chisel the correct holes and then operate in strict accordance with the installation steps in the product instructions. If the lock is not flexible or can not be opened, please contact the local dealer or our Company’s after-sales service division so that the problems can be solved quickly. 2 If your apartment is under decoration, we recommend that you dismount the product after correct installation and inspection and re-install the lock after decoration. The aims are: 1. to avoid the corrosive substances used for the decoration such as alcohol and paint which will emit corrosive gases when the chemical substances are not totally dry sticking on the lock body, accelerating the chemical changes of the product surface treatment, influencing the appearance and reducing the product life; 2. to avoid the flexible work of the lock being influenced when the paint of the door is still wet. 3 After installation and checkup, to prevent someone stealing your registered fingerprint or password which may causes security risks, please empty all fingerprints and password in the lock on the first time, then register your own password and fingerprints. 4 After being used for a while, the buzzer of the lock will make the “beep, beep…” sound as the low-voltage alarm to indicate the low power of the batteries. When this happens, in order to ensure the normal use of the lock, please timely change the batteries and note the direction of the positive and negative poles during installation. 5 If you are going out on big trips or do not use the lock for a long time, please bring your mechanic key with you, and remove the batteries to ensure the 3 service life of the lock. 6 If the user’s fingerprints are comparatively smoother or thinner, or the user is very young, we recommend you register with your thumb finger, and register more than one fingerprint to improve the success rate of fingerprints collecting. 7 The capacity of fingerprint storage is100, the capacity is further divided into 5 groups (9 digits). When the batteries are being switched or switched, the registered fingerprints and other set functions will not be influenced. （2） Tamper Alarm When remove and open the outer case of lock body forcibly, the buzzer will give off alarm sound of “beep…” which will last for 30 seconds, and the yellow indicator will flash. 2.1.3 Pseudo Password Alarm ① When incorrect passwords are input for four consecutive times within 5 10 minutes, the keypad will enter into the locking protection status, and the keypad will be locked for 1 minute, and if any numeric key is pressed during the locking period, the buzzer will give off an alarm; ② After 1 minute, if an incorrect password is input again (for the fifth time), the keypad will be locked for 2 minutes; ③ After 2 minutes, if an incorrect password is input again (for the sixth time), the keypad will be locked for 4 minutes; ④ And so on, when an incorrect password is input later for each time, the locking time will be doubled (up to 32 minutes), and in case that the correct password is input, the keypad will exit the locking protection status, and in the period of locking, if the fingerprint authentication is successful, or the fingerprint key or password key on the back of the lock is pressed, the keypad locking protection status will exit. 2.1.4 Constant Open Function Method to activate the constant open function: When successfully open the door with the user fingerprint or the user password, the buzzer will give off a long “beep” sound, the motor will turn and the lock is in unlocked status. At this time if the user presses any numeric key, the buzzer will give off a long “beep” sound, and the constant open function is activated. When the constant open function is activated, the green indicator will flash once every 2 seconds, and the user can turn the handle and open the door without authentication. . Method to cancel the constant open function: Use the fingerprint or password to open the door once, and the constant open function is cancelled. 2.2 Optional Functions 2.1.5 Connecting the Handset Function The handset function is only applicable to the product with a handset, and for the detailed operation instructions of the handset, please refer to the operation instruction manual of the handset. 11 2.1.6 Door Access Function When the authentication of opening the door by the user is successful, the lock can be opened only within the time period allowed by the door access function, and in case that the authentication of opening the door in the prohibited time period is successful, the nixie tube will flash the user number, and at the same time give off an alarm, and the lock cannot be opened. The setting of the door access function shall be completed by the handset provided by the company. For details, refer to the handset operation manual. 2.3 Operation and Administration 2.1.7 Keypad Operation method （1） Keypad Drawing On the lock, 1 and 2 use one key, defined as Key “1/2”; and 3 and 4 use one key, defined as Key “3/4”; and 5 and 6 use one key, defined as Key “5/6”; and 7 and 8 use one key, defined as Key “7/8”; and 9 and 0 use one key, defined as Key “9/0”. Please refer to the following drawing for details: （2） Method to Input the Password Code The password codes of the product are 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9. Press Key “1/2”, the code is 1, and numeric code tube displays P1; press Key “3/4”, the numeric code tube displays P3; press Key “5/6”, the code is 5, and the numeric code tube displays P5; press Key “7/8”, and the numeric code tube displays P7; press Key “9/0”, the code is 9, and the numeric code tube displays P9. 12 （3） Method to Input the Fingerprint Code Click to input the first number on the combination key; press the key once again to input the later number on the combination key. Firstly input the tens digit of the number, and when the numeric code tube displays the number, press the # key to confirm; then input the ones digit, and the numeric code tube displays the number to be registered, and then press the # key again to confirm, so as to enter into the fingerprint collection step. For example, to input number 23, continuously press Key “1/2” twice, and the numeric code tube will flash “2”, and press the # key to confirm; when the numeric code tube displays “20” and “0” flashes, press key “3/4”, and the numeric code tube will display “23”, and press Key # to confirm. （4） Method to Input the Password Directly use the numeric keys marked on the numeric keypad to input the password. Please replace the batteries and then carry out the operation. ② When setting the administration password, it is not needed to confirm the code, and the system will automatically assign the administration password code to P1. After setting the administration password please keep it in mind. After setting the administration password, the factory password will automatically become invalid. Please remember the new administration password. ③ Method to authenticate the administration password: input 9 digits, i.e., 1-digit password code + 8-digit password. ④ When setting the first administration fingerprint, it is not needed to confirm the code, and the system will automatically assign the administration fingerprint code to 00. ⑤ Fingerprint collection method: When the fingerprint collection indicator lights up, put in the finger; and when the fingerprint collection indicator flashes , remove the finger; put in the same finger for three times, and after the fingerprint is successfully collected for three times, the buzzer will give off a long “beep” sound, and the green indicator will light up, indicating that the setting is successful. ⑥ You can use the code automatically generated by the lock, or manually input the code. If you use the automatically assigned code displayed on the nixie tube, directly enter into the next step and press the # key to confirm; if you do not want to use the automatically assigned code, input one unregistered code, then proceed to the next step and press the # key to confirm. ⑦ Note on prompt sound/indicator: every time when the operation is successful, the buzzer will give off a long “beep” sound, and the green indicator will flash once; if the operation is not successful, the buzzer will give off short “beep” sound, and the red indicator will flash once and exit. 16 ⑧ The administration fingerprint and the administration password can be used to add all fingerprints and passwords, and can also be used to delete all fingerprints and password except P1. The administration password P1 can only be deleted by clearing the passwords from the rear surface of the lock. （2） Operation of the Handset ① When the handset is not used for operation, only the administration fingerprint 00 and the administration password P1 can be registered, and other codes are only the user fingerprints and the user passwords which only have the authorization to open the door. When the handset is used for operation, many administration passwords and many administration fingerprints can be registered. （3） Points of Fingerprint Collection The center of the fingerprint includes most information of the image, and when collecting and authenticating the fingerprint, please put the finger in the correct position. Method: put the finger in the fingerprint collection window moderately, and put the finger as flat as possible. Connect it to the power interface at the bottom of the exterior lock body to power the lock, and then use the fingerprint or password to open the door. 18 （3） Installation of batteries ① Method to install the batteries: Remove the battery cover upward, and install four AA 1.5V batteries in the battery compartment, and then install the battery cover. ② Other important notice for the use of batteries: Please use batteries of the correct type to avoid explosion; if the lock will not be used for a long time, please take out the batteries; never use the new and old batteries; please pay attention to the positive and negative poles of batteries; please dispose the batteries in accordance with the local standard for environment protection laws; please keep the batteries away from children and pets; if there is any liquid leaked out from the battery on the skin or clothes, please flush with water immediately, and if the eye contacts the alkali liquid, please flush with water immediately and then see the doctor. 19 3 Door Lock Installation 3.1 Step 1. Template of Door Striking Box As shown in the drawings, cut the installation hole on the door striking box: 20 3.3 Step 3. Installation (1) As shown in the left drawing, use the bolt to fix the lock cylinder on the door plate. （2）Install the exterior lock body, the exterior support plate, the exterior cover plate, the interior support plate and the interior cover plate on the door by riveting and use semi-countersunk screws for fixing （3）Install the exterior lock body on the exterior cover plate. （4）Install the batteries, the battery box cover and the screw plug. Adjustment Follow the operation instruction in Chapter 2 to adjust the door lock, until it is OK. 3.5 Important Notice Before installation, please firstly check whether the thickness of your door is within the limits, and the door thickness for the lock is: 35-100mm. When fixing the exterior and interior lock body, never press the internal connection cables. When installing the exterior and interior lock body, please handle with care, so as to avoid scratching the lock body surface and influence the appearance. Before fixing the exterior lock body, please firstly adjust the direction of the front handle in accordance with the door opening direction, and the method is as follows: Remove the Hexagon socket countersunk head screws in the following figure with Allen key, and the exterior handle can be removed. After changing the direction, lock the Hexagon socket countersunk head screws tight. Before fixing the interior lock body, please firstly adjust the direction of the interior handle in accordance with the door opening direction, and the method is as follows: Remove the rear lock body and up push (as the direction shown in the following figure) the push button, and the handle direction can be changed. After confirming the direction, lock the rear lock body. 22 23 4 Door Lock Maintenance 4.1 Routine Maintenance （1） The lock face is prohibited to contact with corrosive substances so as not to damage the prevention layer of the lock face and affect the glossiness of lock face. （2） The handle is a key part of the door lock, and its smooth operation will directly influence the use of the door lock. Never hang any objects on the handle. （3） If the door is deformed, the friction of the combination latch bolt into the door frame case will be enlarged and the bolt cannot extend fully. Here, the position of door striking plate should be adjusted. （4） The surface of fingerprint collection window will be dirty or wet after use of a long time. Here, you can wipe off the dirt with a dry and soft cloth. （5） When alarm for low battery, please replace the batteries immediately, so as to ensure the normal use of door lock, When replace the batteries, be careful about the positive and negative poles of batteries. （6） Please keep the mechanical key well. （7） Please do not use any hard and sharp object to scratch the fingerprint collection window surface (including fingernail). （8） Each time when you collect fingerprint, your finger should be flat on the fingerprint recognizer.. （9） If the rotation of lock is inflexible or the lock cannot keep maintain the correct position, you should ask the professionals to fill the part of lock cylinder with mechanical lubricating oil. （10）Always keep the transmission part of the lock body with lubricant to maintain its smoothness and extend the service life of the transmission part. It is recommended to inspect once every six months or one year, and to check whether the fastening screws are loose, so as to ensure the fastening. （11）In the course of use of cylinder, apply a little graphite powder of pencil powder to the cylinder groove regularly (six-month or one year) or when the key cannot plug out smoothly to ensure the key can plug smoothly. However, to avoid adding any oil to lubricate so as to prevent the grease to stick the ball spring and the lock cylinder cannot rotate and cannot be opened. 24 4.2 F.A.Q.
