Our happy Octopus friend wants to help you learn your shapes, colors and numbers. Octo is mounted on a lazy susan so it is easy for you to give him a spin to put in all the shapes. Place in any of the five shapes and be rewarded with a red LED light to indicate you have placed the shape in the correct spot. When all the shapes are correctly placed, you are rewarded with multi-colored blinking lights and a song. Size: 12"D x 7 1/2"H. Requires 6 AA Batteries. Please Note; if a shape or shapes are left in the unit while it is powered On the batteries will drain out. Remove all the shapes to start over again. Troubleshooting: Problem: The units music or lights fails to operate, or operates incorrectly. Operation: 1. The Octo Sorter requires 6 AA size batteries. Use alkaline batteries only (e.g. Duracell or Energizer brand). Do not use rechargeable batteries or any other type of batteries because they supply lower voltage and the unit will not perform properly. Never mix old and new batteries together or different brands or types together. 2. The battery compartments are located on the underside of the unit. To install the batteries, turn the unit over and remove the small Phillips head screws from the black battery cases. Next slide the covers off. 3. Install the batteries, following proper (+) & (-) battery polarity. Replace covers and screws. Mounted on a Lazy Susan base allows users the ability to spin the Octo Sorter for easy access to all of the shape placement location. Push the On/Off switch On and. Turn Off when not in use to prevent battery drain. 4. Each time a shape is placed in its’ correct location on the Octo Sorter an LED light will light up next to the shape indicating that the user had place the shape correctly. When all the shapes are placed correctly the Octo Sorter will play a song (e.g. Twinkle Twinkle Little Star) and multi colored lights will flash. The song will continue to play until one or all the shapes are removed. Action: Check all batteries making sure they are installed with proper (+) & (-) battery polarity. Action: Check that all batteries are fresh, if not replace with new batteries. Problem: Shape does not activate a light. Action: visually inspect making sure there is nothing obstructing or blocking the shape from being properly placed and seated in the Octo Sorter. Care of Unit: The Octo Sorter can be wiped clean with any household multi-purpose cleaner or disinfectant. We recommend Simple Green, which is a non toxic biodegradable all-purpose cleaner. Use caution not to get cleaning fluid or any liquid under the plate areas. Do not submerge the unit, as it will damage the electrical components. Do not use abrasive cleaners, as they will scratch the surface of the unit. Do not jam the plates in with force, as this may damage that component. Rev 3/22/11
