This isolator converts the antenna output of any standard radio or wireless hardware into an intrinsically safe RF output. The concept gives users the flexibility to safely implement industry standard wireless solutions in hazardous areas. Now users can deploy the vast majority of wireless radio equipment in hazardous areas without the need to undergo costly assessment by notified bodies for conformity to the latest ATEX and IECEx standards. The iSOLATE500 is available in three variants for frequencies 5000MHz, 2400MHz and 900MHz. The unique design of the iSOLATE500 means that it has the best possible protection against dangerous transients and makes deploying wireless networks a more simple and cost-effective proposition. The unit is designed with a narrow pass-band which suppresses hazardous transients passing through the isolator to a safe level. The intrinsically safe RF output of the iSOLATE500 allows users to choose any antenna for use with their wireless hardware e.g. Extronics iANT200 range of high quality rugged outdoor antennas. Any antennas not listed in the Extronics range must be assessed by the user to ensure they meet the requirements for installation of non-electrical equipment in hazardous areas.
