3D Printing Services Terms of Use The Whitby Public Library has a Makerbot Replicator 2 available for members of the community to print 3D objects. It is located on the second floor of the Central Library. Autodesk 123D, a 3D design program, is available for public use. Availability The 3D printer is available during the Central Library’s open hours on a first-come, first served basis. Print jobs are limited to 3 hours or less. Print jobs that run past one hour before closing will not be started. Only designated Whitby Public Library staff will send jobs to print and have hands-on access to the 3D printer. Assistance Library staff are available for assistance. Patrons requiring extra help or training are encouraged to register for 3D printing workshops and programs. The time that staff can dedicate to assisting drop-in patrons will be dependent on the demands for other library services. 3D printing is an experimental and evolving technology. We cannot guarantee the success or quality of print jobs. Acceptable Use Use of the 3D Printer must conform to the Whitby Public Library Internet Access Policy and Rules of Conduct and to use the 3D Printer in a responsible manner. The Library is not responsible for infringement of copyright, or any other violation. The library reserves the right to refuse any print job. Printing weapons or any other items that contravene the library's Rules of Conduct or Internet Access Policy is not allowed. Cost Cost is $0.50 per 15 minutes (or portion thereof) of printing.
