3D Sensor Mount Installation Instructions Tools required: 1) 2) 3) 4) 5) 6) 7) 8) 3/8 Drill 17/64 Drill Bit Sharpie Marker/Center Punch 8mm x 1.2 Tap and Tap Driver 5mm and 2.5mm Allen Wrench Tape Measure STDA117 Mount Kit Cutting Oil Starting on the driver side runway, measure from the center of the turn plate…… ………to the center of the middle hole of the driver side sensor mount bracket1255mm (approx 49 3/8”). Mark the hole with a sharpie or center punch. Drill and tap the first hole position using a 17/64th bit and 8mm x 1.25 tap. Use cutting oil as required. Mount the bracket using 1 supplied screw. Mark and drill/tap the other 2 holes using the bracket as a pilot guide. Once the driver side is complete, move to the passenger side and measure from the center of the turn plate….. ….. to the center of the middle hole of the passenger side sensor mount bracket1260mm (approx 49 5/8”). Mark the center bracket hole. Drill/tap the hole using the 17/64 drill bit and 8mm x 1.25 tap. Use cutting oil as required. Mount the bracket using 1 supplied screw. Mark and drill/tap the other 2 holes using the bracket as a pilot guide. Adjustment of the Sensor Mounting Brackets 1) Install batteries into the 3D sensors 2) Install sensors into the mounting brackets and turn on the sensors by depressing the center grey key 3) Boot the aligner and select the blue navigation key at the home screen: 4) Navigate to the “Additional Features” selection and press the green key (F4) 5) Navigate to the “Test Application” selection and press the green key (F4) 6) Navigate to the “Measure Head: Onboard Sensors” selection and press the green key (F4) 7) The next screen will display the onboard sensor data. The sensor level, displayed as “ICL X” for the left and right sensors are the values to be adjusted. 8) Turn the 2 allen screws, located on the runway side of the sensor brackets, to set the values as close to zero (0.00) degrees as possible. 9) Use a drop of thread locker on each screw to prevent accidental movement.
